People sign up to Sell Avon for many different reasons.

  • Some want to be able to stay home with their children.
  • Others want to pay for an exciting vacation every year.
  • Some need extra money to handle an unexpected expense such as braces for their child.
  • And some are looking to build an exciting, flourishing business.

If you’re looking for a business where you can get full-time benefits from part-time work, it’s definitely possible with Avon.  But it does take work.

10 Powerful Tips to Build a Successful Avon Business

Here are 10 powerful tips to help you smash your business goals and get you the results you want.

1 – Be Serious

If you treat your business like a hobby, it will pay like a hobby.

Your business is your soul and not a mere hobby.

It starts with the right mindset.

And if you want success, you will have to be willing to make sacrifices.

This means spending more time investing in yourself and getting your Avon business (brochure) in front of as many people as possible.

2 – Don’t Treat Your Friends Like Business Prospects

Of course, your friends could turn out to be your most valuable Avon customers.

But that needs to be a natural process and not one you’re trying to force on them.

You can casually let them know you’ve started your Avon business and ask if they want to see a brochure. (If they say Yes, be sure to add them to your automated Follow-Ups).

To be clear, DO NOT EVER chase, beg, guilt, or even attempt to convince anyone, especially your friends to buy from you or join your team.

It’s not important that your friend buys from you.  Either they are interested, or they are not.

There are lots of people out there who want what you have to offer.

3 – Use Social Media

Social media is like your ultimate relationship-building tool.

Whether you’re working on social media, or in face-to-face contacts, know that you will need to talk to a lot of people.

Social media allows you to invest in paid advertising and actively connect with those who want to hear from you.

Be sure to always come from a position of providing value.  It’s not always about shouting, “Buy from me!”  What can you offer them as you make the connections?

Start with any two platforms and stick to mastering them.  For our business, Facebook and Instagram are good places to start.

TikTok is also a great place to start, especially if you’re going to create short videos.

4 – Find a Mentor

You need someone who has been there, done that, and is still growing.

Why?  Because when you’re first starting out, there are a lot of things you’ll have to figure out.

Mentors know that and they also know what it takes to cut through the clutter and get stuff done.

They can help you focus on the right things to get maximum results with less effort.

I talk about mindset all the time.  It’s really important to your successful Avon business.

You have to be positive even if the odds are stacked against you.

You have to believe in yourself, not be afraid of failing, and keep pushing until you get to the point you want.

Most people give up when things don’t work out the way they thought they would.

Be different!  Don’t ever give up.

Just keep working on that growth mindset, know what you want, and more importantly… know that you can achieve whatever it is that you’re working for.

With that attitude, you will achieve what you want!

6 – Be Consistent

Consistency is critical to a successful Avon business and getting the results you want.

Your Avon business is going to have ups and downs.

You’re going to run into things you need to learn to get over or around the hurdles that come up.

But that won’t happen if you don’t stay consistent.

The more consistency, the more results, and the more results, the more doors open up for you.

7 – Share Your Products/Services and the Avon Opportunity Every Day Without Fail

This might seem obvious, but it’s extremely common for Reps to focus on either selling products or inviting people to join their team.

8 – Learn the Products

You don’t need to know everything about beauty to Sell Avon.

But it never hurts to have a pretty good idea of what you’re selling.

Be sure to get on Avon’s training webinars and videos.  Learn as much as you can.

Being knowledgeable and enthusiastic about your product is contagious.

Get people excited about what you have to offer, and they’ll reward you with repeat orders.

9 – Be Real

Be sure to be real and stay real.

Be genuine with your customers about what you’re offering and who you are.

Nothing turns people away from you more than when you advertise flashily or look desperate.

Explain the pros and cons, show the good and the bad, and let people decide for themselves.

10 – Prepare to Sponsor Team Members Into Your Team

Always offer the opportunity.

You never know when someone is looking for a way to make their life better.
