3 Strategies To Avoid Feeling Overwhelmed While Building Your Business
Have you ever felt completely and utterly overwhelmed while building your business?
Feeling overwhelmed in your business journey is entirely normal.
Even the most successful leaders, like those I talked to at the Avon convention in Washington DC, have experienced it.
Growing Your Avon Business Is Pretty Simple
There are only 4 main steps:
- Prospecting for new customers & recruits.
- Getting a brochure (either paper or digital) to every customer every campaign.
- Following up with every customer you gave a brochure to every campaign before you place your order.
- Take the order, submit it to Avon and deliver to your customer, or send them to your Avon Online Store to place their order.
And then Rinse and Repeat.
It’s really that simple. You just do these 4 steps over and over again, and you will have a strong Avon business.
We have our Daily 8 System to help you work on the activities that will help you grow your business.
The Daily 8 System Is A Proven Formula
When followed consistently, the Daily 8 Plan will help you maintain the consistency required to build a thriving team and an exponentially expanding residual income.
Instead of working 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, your goal is to capture 8 POINTS a day, 5 days a week for a total of 40 POINTS per week.
Follow this plan consistently for 90-days and teach your team to do the same. At the end of 90 days, REPEAT and then REPEAT again. This is your Daily Method of operation.
The real secret to your Avon Business success is that there is NO SECRET!
It simply takes a simple plan and the dedication and commitment to WORK THE PLAN consistently! That’s it!

Today We’ll Talk About 3 Strategies to Avoid Feeling Overwhelmed While Building Your Business
Building a business is a challenging endeavor, but it’s important to remember that you’re not alone in this struggle.
Let’s look at three valuable strategies that have helped me conquer overwhelm and boost productivity.
1 – Plan and Prioritize
When you’re feeling overwhelmed, it often means that you’ve allowed tasks to pile up.
To regain control, take a step back and create a weekly schedule.
Start by prioritizing Income Producing Activities (IPAs). These are the core tasks that drive your business forward.
Allocate specific times in your week dedicated solely to work.
By planning and prioritizing, you’ll ensure that essential tasks don’t get lost in the chaos.
2 – Batch Create Content
Staying consistent on social media is crucial, but it can be challenging, especially when you’re balancing multiple roles.
One effective strategy is to schedule Content Days on your calendar.
Designate a day for creating content for your VIP group.
Set aside another day each week for recording short-form content like REELS or TikTok videos.
Batch creating content allows you to have a clear content plan, saving you from the daily stress of coming up with ideas.
Utilizing our Social Media Calendars can be very helpful for this.
3 – Schedule Time for Self-Care
It’s common to feel like you don’t have time for self-care when you’re busy building your business.
However, taking care of yourself is essential for long-term success.
Schedule self-care time in your calendar and commit to it.
For example, Richard and I have designated Saturday nights for a fun outing, like a show at the local Pass Casino.
These moments help us recharge and connect, almost like a date night.
Remember, if you don’t prioritize self-care, it becomes challenging to maintain the energy and enthusiasm needed for your business.
Feeling Overwhelmed At Times Is Normal
But it shouldn’t derail your business goals.
Implement these three strategies – plan and prioritize, batch create content, and schedule self-care – to regain control and boost your productivity.
Remember, it’s okay to take a step back, create a plan, and put yourself first.
By following these tips, you’ll find that overwhelm becomes a manageable challenge rather than an insurmountable obstacle.
