8 Tips To Build Your Avon Online Sales

8 Tips To Build Your Avon Online Sales

With your Avon provided online store, you now have the ability to run your entire business online – from your computer, your tablet, or even your phone!

To have the most success with your online business, you want to be high-tech/high touch, meaning you want to give your customers the online shopping experience, while still continuing to provide service to them as their Avon Representative.

So let’s look at some tips to help you build your Avon Online sales.

1 – Update Your Avon Website –

Setup your Avon website if you haven’t already. Be sure to include your profile picture (you, not your dog or your child – people want to know who they are buying from) and your contact information

On your About page, type in a friendly message and your social links, and choose the modules that best fit your personality.

2 – Create a Blog –

This is a great way to create awareness for your new Avon business. You can find instructions on how to get started here. There is a learning curve associated with this, so it is something you can start right away, or you can wait until you are ready. Either way, don’t stress out. It’s a work in progress, and you’ll learn as you go.

Write about your favorite Avon products, current incentives, and news or opportunities.

Use your blog posts to create awareness for your new business. Over time, the search engines will index your posts, and more and more people will find them.

Make it fun and stay consistent. If you make a commitment to post once a week, or once a campaign, that’s totally okay, but pick a schedule and stick to it.

3 – Social Media –

Choose three social media site to focus on. If you’re brand new to social media, it’s okay to start with one and expand as you learn. I focus mostly on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.

Set a schedule and post consistently. Just like with your blog posts, you want to be consistent, although with social media I suggest daily or multiple times per day.

Use Avon Social to schedule posts about the products and the opportunity. Post your blog posts, Avon specials, etc. Be sure to include fun, engaging content that lets your followers know more about you as a person.

Tools such as CinchShare help you schedule your posts in advance and free up a lot of your time.

4 – Create Bold & Unique Images –

Stand out from the rest of the Internet by creating your own eye-catching images. Your images will also be indexed by the search engines, just like your blog pages, and can drive traffic to your Avon Online Store.

Here is a post about where to find images, as well as tools to create your own content. Be sure to include your Online Store website address within the images.

5 – Business Materials –

Create materials such as business cards, flyers, postcards, sticky notes, or whatever you can afford; to pass out to everyone you meet.  A great place to do that is VistaPrint.  Be sure to include your Online Store website address on every piece of information that you hand out.

If you want to work more digitally, get a Shuffle account and create a Shuffle Virtual Business card to share with the people you meet.

Another virtual way to connect is to create a contact in your phone for yourself. Include your name, all the ways to contact you, and your Online Store website address. When you meet someone, you can have them put themselves into your contacts in your phone, and then you can share your contact with them.

Whichever method you prefer, make sure you give your Avon Online Store website address to everyone you meet at every opportunity.

6 – Start Creating Videos –

Start making your own videos promoting your website and yourself. Create and start building a YouTube Channel.

When people see you on video they feel like they know you, even though you may not have met in person. YOU are what makes your Avon business unique, so it’s important that you let that shine through to your customers.

Create a video every campaign where you are basically showing demos and walking your customers through the brochure. Post it on YouTube and share it on Facebook. Many of our team members do it as a Facebook Live. They talk about what’s hot that campaign, and then they download it and share on YouTube.

However you choose to do it, videos are the easiest, most natural way for people to get to know you in a virtual world.

7 – Send Out Emails –

Avon will generate emails for your existing customers to stay in touch and to work to get repeat orders. The Avon Marketing Team members are the experts at this, so there is no need to reinvent the wheel.

As you are out and about, be sure to get contact information for the people you meet, and then add them into your Avon Address Book so you can take advantage of these emails for them too.

You might want to consider also using a free email service too. This gives you a way to contact potential customers, and to let your blog followers know when you’ve published a new post.

I prefer AWeber.  It’s inexpensive to get started, but not free. My experience is you typically get what you pay for, and I’ve found this service to be very reliable with excellent deliverability.

You can also get a free account at MailChimp. It will help you get stated, until you’ve built a list of followers, and then you’ll need to either grow into a paid account or go with another provider.

8 – Facebook Parties

Facebook parties are an excellent way to build that online interaction with your customers and potential customers and recruits.

Think about it. If you can get 10 people to come to your Facebook Party, and 2 of those attendees book a Facebook Party… now you have 2 more Facebook parties scheduled. If they each have 10 guests in attendance, that’s 20 new potential new customers/recruits for your business. And if you can book 2 more parties from each of those, you will have 4 more parties, etc. If you work this right, you can grow a huge business just from doing Facebook Parties.

And the best part… they’re all online sales! No brochures to label and no orders to deliver!

Because they are working so well, I am currently holding a Group Facebook Party each campaign for everyone who wants to participate. You can find more about upcoming parties in the OnlineBeautyBiz Facebook Group.

If you are ready to venture out and do your own Facebook Party, you can find full training here.
