As An Avon Representative, When Do I Have To Pay For My Orders?
As a new Avon Representative, in most cases, you will have to pay for your orders at the time you place them.
I strongly suggest you plan on this as you’re getting started building your business.
Truth is, every other company is exactly the same. If you were to purchase Tupperware, Mary Kay, Scentsy, Pampered Chef, or any other product from an Independent Representative, you wouldn’t even question having to pay at the time you place your order.
But Avon has, in the past, provided credit to their representatives.
If you have been with Avon for a long time and kept your account in good standing, you may be grandfathered in.
Avon no longer provides credit to new representatives.
As an Independent Avon Representative ourselves, neither your upline leader nor I have any control over how Avon makes their credit decisions.
Frequently Asked Questions About Paying For Your Orders
What is Avon credit and how do I get it?
This is a privilege that Avon offered years ago.
Select established Representatives may have an Avon Credit Limit; however, Avon no longer supplies new Representatives with a credit limit.
We suggest collecting payment from your customers in advance or referring them to your online store to order.
When are payments to Avon due?
For Representatives without Avon Credit, payments are due in full when you place an order.
For Representatives who do have Avon Credit, payments are due no later than the closing date for the next campaign.
Payment is required even if you don’t submit an order in the next campaign.
How do I make a payment on my account?
At checkout, you’ll be prompted to make a payment in advance for the order you’re submitting.
You can choose from the following payment methods:
- PayPal alone
- Credit Card and Avon Credit (if applicable)
- Credit Card alone
- Avon Credit alone (if applicable).
How do I store my credit card?
You can enter and save the details of up to 5 credit cards on the My Credit Cards page.
Then in the checkout, when you choose Credit Card as your payment method, the details of a saved credit card will be automatically filled into the order form.
You can edit, add or remove card details at any time.
For your protection, we will remove any credit cards that have not been used for one year.
How to do it:
- Under My Account in the upper right of Avon.com, select My Credit Cards from the dropdown menu
- Click Add a New Credit Card, complete the info and click Add Card to save
- The card details will be saved and will appear on the Pay Avon and Checkout pages as an option next time you’re paying or checking out
- Select the card you want to use from the list and details will be automatically filled in
Why can’t I pay with multiple credit cards?
Only one credit card can be used to advance our level of Fraud Protection for you and your business.
The billing address on your account must match the billing address on the card being used.
When will my payment post to my Avon account?
Payments post immediately.
What credit cards does Avon accept?
- Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express
- Debit Cards with the Visa or Mastercard logo
- Gift Card with the Visa or Mastercard logo
How can I collect payment from my customer?
There are many ways to accept payment from your customer.
The easiest is probably using a Square Reader.
There is an App called The Square, which offers a free device that turns your Android, iPhone, or tablet into a credit card payment processing station that will allow you to easily accept payments from your customers.
Square will automatically deposit the money into your bank.
The cool thing about Square is when you sign up using my link, both you and I receive $1,000 in free credit card processing.
Once you’ve worked through that, you can share your link with someone else, and you both will receive $1,000 in free credit card processing.
You can continue like that and never have to pay.
You can also collect payment using PayPal, Venmo, or any of the other payment options available out there.
