Be Confident In Your Avon Business And Always Ask For The Sale

I assume you are probably selling Avon to earn money, right?

Sure, you may want to help others as well, but you want to make a profit with your business.

In order to make a profit, you need to sell products and invite others to join your Avon team.

Growing your Avon business is pretty simple.

There are only 4 main steps:

  1. Prospecting for new customers & recruits.
  2. Getting a brochure (either paper or digital) to every customer every campaign.
  3. Following-up with every customer you gave a brochure to every campaign before you place your order.
  4. Take the order, submit it to Avon and deliver to your customer, or send them to your Avon Online Store to place their order

And then Rinse and Repeat.

It’s really that simple. You just do these 4 steps over and over again, and you will have a strong Avon business.

We have our Daily 8 System to help you work on the activities that will help you grow your business.

The Daily 8 system is a proven formula

When followed consistently, the Daily 8 Plan will help you maintain the consistency required to build a thriving team and an exponentially expanding residual income.

Instead of working 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week your goal is to capture 8 POINTS a day, 5 days a week for a total of 40 POINTS per week.

Print this sheet and use it to track your weekly points.

Follow this plan consistently for 90-days and teach your team to do the same. At the end of 90 days, REPEAT and then REPEAT again. This is your Daily Method of operation.

The real secret to your Avon Business success is that there is NO SECRET!

It simply takes a simple plan and the dedication and commitment to WORK THE PLAN consistently! That’s it!

Today we’ll talk about being confident in your Avon business and not being afraid to ask for the sale.

In order to make a profit, you need to sell products and invite others to join your Avon team.

But is it enough to just put your Avon website out there and hope people will make a purchase?

Not at all.  I call that “wishful marketing” and it simply doesn’t work.

That’s a very passive approach to running a business as opposed to a proactive approach, which includes finding people in your target market, forming a relationship with them, introducing them to your Avon business, and then asking for the sale.

Here are some tips to help you:

Find Your Confidence

Sure, it’s discouraging when people say “No.”

But there’s also a popular thought in the sales community (in any business) that you need to hear 100 No’s before you hear a Yes.

Avon isn’t for everyone.  Or maybe it does appeal to someone, but they don’t have the money right now.

That doesn’t mean that your Avon business (or you) is awful; it simply means that you just haven’t found the right people yet.

Avon offers quality products at value pricing.  And we have something for everyone.

It’s important that you are confident in telling people what you have to offer them.

  • Create introductory posts on Facebook – on your personal profile and business page – and give a short summary of your new business and what you have to offer.
  • Get clear on who your target market is and speak specifically to those people. Avon is typically more of a women’s product.  Are you going to market to older women, young moms, etc.  Obviously you will sell to many different types of people, but when you have a clear target of who YOU are going to market to, people will be more likely to respond to your posts.  Sometimes it works best to target people who are like you – that’s who they will relate to.
  • Create a Facebook Live series where you answer frequently asked questions as they relate specifically to Avon or Avon products. It could be topics like skincare, or how to apply makeup… or a couple of my team members do Facebook Lives every campaign highlighting certain products that campaign.

When the Time is Right, Ask for the Sale

Your customers will purchase from you when they know, like and trust you.

Coming on too strong with heavy sales talk or pestering them like a used car salesperson will chase those promising customers away.

Instead, gently nudge these prospects down your sales funnel.

If you have never heard of a sales funnel, it’s simply a visual representation of how you will guide your prospects toward making a purchase or joining your team.

How do you ask for the sale?  Here are some thoughts:

  • Include Calls-to-Action everywhere: at the end of every blog post and in your social media posts. Invite your prospects to take the next logical step with you.
  • In your email marketing: don’t be afraid to tell your readers about new products and sales. Never assume someone knows what you’re up to – be proactive and proud of your accomplishments and shout it from the rooftops.
  • At the end of your one-on-one consultations, always ask if they are ready for the next step. You can say something like, “Can I get that ordered for you?”
  • Or if you’ve given them a brochure to look at, make sure to get their contact information so you can follow-up with them before placing your next order.
  • Don’t forget to ask them if they would be interested in making extra money with Avon. You never know when someone might be interested.  Many times they don’t know you can help them unless you tell them you can.
  • If someone is on the fence, or not ready to make a purchase, now is when you nurture this relationship so they remember YOU when they are ready to make a purchase.

At the end of the day, if you listen to what your audience needs, there’s no harm in making the offer and asking for the sale.

If they say No, move on while continuing to nurture the relationship.

There are plenty more out there who are ready to do business with you.
