Create A Daily Action Plan For Your Avon Business

It is our daily routines and habits that will make or break us in our Avon business and in life.

If we’re looking for our business to grow, and actually provide income for us, it’s critical that we do something every day to move our business forward.

Make an action plan for your business

Take a look at your calendar and figure out where you are going to plug in time slots to work your business.

It’s okay if you don’t have big blocks of time.  And it’s not necessary either.

If you can schedule 1, 2, 4, (or whatever) hours each day, great!  If not, focus on 15-minute blocks of time that you can free up.

Having it blocked in your calendar makes it more likely that you will actually use the time to do the things you need to do.  I know, for me… if it’s not in my calendar, it probably won’t get done.

Success comes with a full calendar of income producing activities.  There are lots of things that need to be done in your business, but only a few that will make a real difference.  So, these are the things you need to focus on first.

Income Producing Activities:

Prospecting –

This is probably the most important and where you will spend the most time.  You have to constantly be adding people to your prospecting list, as well as your customer list.

Set a goal.  10 names and numbers is a good goal if you’re really looking to build a big business.  The more people you talk to the better it will be for your business.  It’s a great way to create momentum and get your business off to a great start.

If you can’t do that many, figure out how many you can.  Set a goal, and then stick to it.  Make sure that you don’t go to bed until you have those names and numbers.

Prospecting simply means reaching out to a new person and asking them if they are open to looking at your business – whether it’s as a new Avon Representative or as a customer.

You are just asking them and looking for a “yes” or a “no.”  Either answer is totally fine.  It’s the decision that’s important.

When you find someone who is interested, ask them to fill out your Drawing Slips, and then when you get home, plug them into either your recruiting system or your customer follow-up system.

Here are just a few options to accomplish this:

    • In person – getting out there and talking to people as you go about your day.
    • Shows & events
    • Tailgating
    • Social media – make friends, start conversations, and just talk to people
    • Paid advertising

How you collect the decision is not important.  What is important, is that you do this activity every day and don’t stop until you’ve reached your goal!

Follow-up –

Even though you’ve plugged your prospects into your follow-up system, it’s not automatic. Now you need to work your system and do or schedule those follow-ups.

Don’t quit following up until they ask you to stop or tell you they are ready to join your Avon business.

Did you know that most people need to hear something many times before making a decision.  Most Representatives never follow-up even a second time.

Don’t be that person.  I promise you, if you stay in touch and follow-up, over time, you will have outrageous success.

Once they join your team, let them know that you want to help them in every way –

Get them started on their list of 100 contacts.  Help them get their business started.  Show them how to get someone signed up to sell Avon.

Show them your Daily Action Plan and how to work theirs.  Get them up and running and self-sufficient in their own Avon business as soon as possible.

Personal Growth –

Always schedule some time every day for self-development.

You might be thinking, “That’s not an income producing activity,” but it many ways it is, and it is so important.

It is also possible that you don’t have every day to work your business.  Or you have more time on certain days and less on others.  When Richard and I first started, we did all our prospecting on Sunday because that’s the only day we had.  But we sat down with our calendar and figured out what time we had, and we plugged the activities into our calendar and made sure they happened.

This is why it’s important to get really clear on what times you will be working your business.

Then before you know it your team will grow into the thousands, and you’ll have a huge successful home business!
