As an Avon Representative, you are an essential part of the Avon family, and we understand that change can sometimes be challenging.

However, change is also a catalyst for growth, innovation, and exciting new possibilities.

Change equals difference.

That’s a basic definition, but it’s truthfully what the change is.

Something is different than it was before. And we’re sure dealing with a lot of that right now with Avon!

Where change is concerned in general, you come to grips with it before you’ve lived very long on this planet.

Let’s explore how focusing on what matters can pave the way for your continued success as an Avon Representative.

Almost All Change Is Out Of Your Control

Even the most obsessively compulsive person who strives every minute of every day for control is taunted by this fact.

Try as you may, your world will largely spin in any direction it wants.

It doesn’t stop and ask you what reality you’d like to experience.

You can try and influence it, and you might be successful in some ways.

For instance, you can email Avon Customer Care.  You can email or talk to your Account Executive.

Of course, you can work like crazy to promote to higher sales and leadership levels, and hopefully have a little more influence with the company executives.

But while patting yourself on the back for your hard work and how it paid off, remember one thing … LG Executives still have the final say in what happens in how we run our business.

That’s Pretty Humbling When You Think About It

Take a look at any area of your life.

You’ll see that you don’t always have as much influence as you previously thought you did.

The best you can do is work on yourself, your relationships, and your business to create a favorable reality.

Then when Avon throws more negative change in your face, remember to ask yourself this question.

“What Can I Control?”

Imagine that you are going for a walk. It’s a beautiful day.

The world has treated you to a spectacular experience with sunny skies, birds chirping, and stress-relieving nature all around you.

Then immediately in your pathway, a brick wall appears out of nowhere.

It wasn’t there, and then it was there.

It’s only a few feet wide, so you can easily walk around it.

Instead, you repeatedly try to walk through it.

You can’t control that this change has happened. What you can control is your response to it.

Claim your sphere of control.

Do what you can do, which is to move around the wall and continue your enjoyable walk.

There Will Always Be Change At Avon!

This is true of not just Avon, but any company.

To paraphrase what Jim Rohn says, When we get our own company, we can run it any way we want!

Life will give you a lot of changes you’d rather avoid.

When this happens, don’t waste a second of your time trying to influence something you have no control over.

Determine what you can influence and what you can’t.

Then take action to turn something negative into the best possible outcome.

Ways To Focus On What We Can Control With Avon

By adopting a proactive mindset, you can find opportunities within the current changes and continue to thrive as an Avon Representative.

When negative changes occur, it’s essential to assess the specific impact they have on your business.

Embrace the New Products and Offerings

I know we all want Avon to be the same as it has always been.

But that’s not going to happen.

Avon is a strong powerhouse company – in business for over 137 years – we want to keep it that way for another 137 years!

And that is going to require change.

LG is providing us with all kinds of new products – the newest technology and more natural products.

Think of it as a breath of fresh air, presenting you with a golden opportunity to expand your customer base and attract new customers.

Embrace the change by familiarizing yourself with these innovative products, and let their unique features and benefits inspire your sales pitch.

A fresh product line is an excellent conversation starter, allowing you to connect with customers in new and exciting ways.

Strengthen Relationships with Your Customers

Even amidst negative changes, one thing that remains within your control is the ability to nurture and strengthen your relationships with your customers.

Focus on providing exceptional customer service, going the extra mile to exceed expectations.

Engage with your customers on a personal level, understanding their needs and preferences.

Get to the next Convention if at all possible.  This is where you’re going to have the best opportunity to talk to other Reps as well as Avon Corporate people.

If you can’t get there live, be sure to at least attend virtually.

Share your experiences, learn from their perspectives, and collaborate on innovative solutions.

By coming together, you can find solace in a community that understands your challenges and work collectively towards overcoming them.

All This Change Can Be Disheartening

But remember that you still possess control over certain aspects of your business as an Avon Representative.

Assess the impact, adapt your strategies, and prioritize building strong customer relationships.

Embrace the new products.

Leverage digital marketing channels to expand your reach.

Seek support from fellow Representatives, as their experiences and insights can provide valuable guidance.

Things Will Get Better

LG just needs to work through some things.

They purchased our company and have a bigger picture to make decisions that will keep the company growing.

By focusing on what you can change, you will not only adapt to corporate changes, but you will thrive in the dynamic world of Avon.

Remember, every change is an invitation for growth and success.
