When you first start out learning how to market yourself and your home business opportunity online, it’s easy to get overwhelmed rather quickly.

All of a sudden you’re faced with a whole new concept – one that you haven’t had to deal with before, and you have lots of things to learn, especially if you want to start blogging and creating an email list and really start building your Avon business online.

It seems that you barely got started learning one thing and you’re already bombarded with more that you need to learn – almost before you can even get started.

Add that to a full-time day job and the pressure can make you feel like you’re about to jump out of your skin!

One thing I want you to keep in mind is that Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will your online Avon business.  You do not need to start off with a blog.

Instead, get your Avon business going and focus on Facebook and Social Media.  And then look at adding a blog later when have that mastered or you feel ready.

Yes there is a lot to learn before you can accomplish very much, but if you let yourself become overwhelmed, you’ll most likely quit before you even get started. And that’s the most important thing – Don’t Quit!

So, pick the first thing you want to accomplish and apply a laser-like focus to that one task. Only focus on what you’re trying to accomplish RIGHT NOW!

Whenever you get another e-mail about new training or the next step, stop and make a quick decision – Will this help you with the task that you’re specifically looking to accomplish RIGHT NOW?

If not, save it for a time when you’ll be ready to use it, or maybe you’ll even decide you don’t need it and can DELETE! This step is very important, because if you’ve got hundreds of e-mails in your inbox that you’re not ready to deal with yet, it can affect your sense of clarity and lead to feeling more overwhelmed.

The first two things I would suggest you work on when you are ready to start blogging are:

  1. Your content (blog or website) – You have to have a site first to attract people to and where they can learn more about you and your Avon opportunity. After reviewing your site, interested candidates will contact you!
  2. Autoresponder – You want to know who’s been at your website so you can follow-up. One of the additional benefits is that an Autoresponder allows you to send information out at set intervals of time, allowing you to effectively “drip” information on them until they are ready to go to the next step.

After these two tasks are accomplished, then you can pick one thing at a time to learn to refine and develop your online marketing strategy. For more information, check out my Online Marketing page on this blog.
