Hire a Wife To Help You Build Your Avon Business!
We are all busy, and sometimes time is our most valuable and scarcest resource.
Some of us are building Avon full-time, but most are not. Many Representatives are building their Avon business around their full- or part-time job, and around their children and family lives.
And along the way, the whole reason you’re selling Avon is to be able to spend time with your kids, or not have to work 40 hours a week, or whatever it is you are working towards.
So, do you really need to spend your time cleaning toilets when you can hire someone to come in and give your house a good cleaning once or twice a month?
Think about all the things you can be doing to build your business in the time you would normally be cleaning your house.
How much is your time really worth?
So “hire a wife” is a euphemism I’ve heard many times in the Direct Sales business and in trainings I’ve attended.
What it really means is, to figure out the tasks that you need to do yourself and delegate everything else.
Let’s take a look at some of the reasons you might want to delegate:
Efficiency –
Perhaps you can find someone to do a task faster and better than you. For example, maybe your daughter or granddaughter would be so much better at posting on social media. Why not pay her to do that for you to help you build your business?
Safety –
Sometimes it’s just better to hire a professional because you just don’t have the skills.
Time –
You could be spending that extra time building your business or spending it with your family and friends. Things such as a housekeeper who comes into your house once or twice a month is a great example of this.
Focus –
Having a babysitter come in and take care of your kids so you can shut our door and actually get some work done can be a lifesaver for your business.
By allowing yourself the time to focus on getting your Money-Making Activities done, you will more quickly build your business, as well as then free up time to really spend quality time with your kids.
Freedom –
The whole idea of building an Avon business is freedom, right!? Letting go of the things that someone else can do for you frees you up to build that business that will sustain you for years to come.
Even though you might not be making as much as you would like with your business right now, think about what your time is worth.
Is it your intention to build a 6 Figure income with Avon? If so, your time is worth a lot more than the $10/hour or so you could pay someone to clean your house.
Or, maybe you could hire someone to do the cooking for you. There’s no reason you need to be the person who cleans your house or does the cooking.
Think about it this way… It’s quite possible that money you pay someone else to take care of your household chores so you can build your business, might mean a lot to that person you hired.
When talking about delegating, systems fall into this idea as well.
By creating a system to make sure that your customers are taken care of, you will free up more time to actually get in front of more customers and potential team members.
We also have a system for following up with your potential recruits or new team members.
Benefits of systems
When you have automated systems in place, you will:
- Have more time to do the things you need to do. You’ll enjoy more flexibility in your schedule and have the time to build your business or spend with your children.
- Be able to stop worrying about repetitive administrative tasks and focus on the strategic work that matters most – the work that only you can do.
- Feel confident in the level of service you are providing your customers because automated systems run without you. They don’t get sick, don’t forget things, don’t drop the ball, or get interrupted by your children or family. Systems provide the same level of service over and over.
- Work less for even more sales and have more time to gain new customers and recruits.
Obviously, there are a lot of things in your business that need your personal attention.
Things such as talking to more people, building your list of customers and potential recruits, giving people your personal attention when needed, etc.
Your time is very valuable! You should delegate as much as you can – either by hiring someone to do it or using a system to automate it.
Whenever a new task comes up, stop for just a minute and ask yourself, “Should I delegate this or is it something I need to do myself?”
