Everything that we’re hearing on the news and elsewhere only creates panic and fear.
When people fear panic and fear, it paralyzes them.
That’s not a good place to be.
And it’s not going to help your Avon business.
You may not have control of what happens to the economy, but you do have control of how you react and what you do to respond to it.
3 Mindset Shifts To Overcome Fear And Grow a Thriving Business Even During The Recession
With just a few mindset shifts, you can overcome fear and grow a thriving business in any economy.
#1 – Guard Your Mindset
Mindset is probably the most important thing of all!
You have to be a constant guardian of your mind.
It’s the most important factor in your business success.
Pay attention to what you listen to and what you watch.
Be attentive to what you talk about with others as well.
What goes into your mind is just as important as what you eat and put into your body.
This is not the first recession we’ve ever experienced. We will get through it.
And you can use this time to create opportunities for yourself instead of being paralyzed with fear.
# 2 – Focus On Income-Producing Activities
It’s so easy to start to obsess over the results when your business isn’t bringing you the results you want.
You don’t ever want to lose momentum in your business.
That means you need to continue doing the income-producing activities that can drive sales and recruits to your business.
If you don’t, your business will come to a standstill.
Create a list of all your income-producing activities, and for 90 days focus ONLY on these activities.

This makes you more valuable out in the marketplace – regardless of the economy – which, in turn, increases your income.
Start taking classes on Avon U. Watch the Avon Calendar and make sure to attend all the trainings. Attend any other trainings that you can find to help your business.
Get yourself to convention… or at least the virtual convention.
One thing to be very careful about though is don’t just take the trainings – make sure to implement what you learned as quickly as possible.
Knowledge without action is worthless. You have to put what you learned into action.
The economy is constantly changing – growing and moving on to the “next big thing.”
If you haven’t been investing in yourself, you have already fallen BEHIND.
But it’s never too late. Get started now!
Final Thoughts About Getting Through a Possible Recession
If you’re not doing anything and looking for an excuse not to do anything, a recession is about as good a reason as any.
But if you’re serious about your Avon business, then, believe it or not, a recession could be the best thing that’s happened to you in a while.
Lipstick sales always increase when times are hard.
People are just looking for something to help them feel better.
And… Shaky economic times have historically produced a renewed awareness of the need to make more money.
You’ll find people who were previously uninterested in selling Avon are suddenly looking for new financial opportunities or a side gig.
It’s times like these where downsizing and layoffs happen more often.
People begin to get tired of the layoffs or fear of layoffs and what seems like an endless cycle of hiring and firing.
It’s in times like these they are more receptive to the idea of starting their own business.
They may have had the idea in the back of their mind for quite a while now, but when the economy goes south, suddenly the idea comes back to mind.
You have so much to offer them with an Avon business of their own. And right now, it is $0 to sign up!
You may find some people who will want to sell Avon long enough to get through this recession.
But then again, you might also find some who want to strike out on their own with a home-based business.
So recession may be a dirty word everywhere else.
But in your Avon business, the recession actually presents new opportunities!
