How To Build a $200 Avon Order Every Campaign
If you’re just getting started Selling Avon, $200 is a great place to set your first campaign sales goal.
As you’re working on the Pathway to Premier Quick Start program, $200 is the magic number.
Growing your Avon business is pretty simple.
There are only 4 main steps:
- Prospecting for new customers & recruits.
- Getting a brochure (either paper or digital) to every customer every campaign.
- Following-up with every customer you gave a brochure to every campaign before you place your order.
- Take the order, submit it to Avon and deliver to your customer, or send them to your Avon Online Store to place their order
And then Rinse and Repeat.
It’s really that simple. You just do these 4 steps over and over again, and you will have a strong Avon business.
We have our Daily 8 System to help you work on the activities that will help you grow your business.
The Daily 8 system is a proven formula
When followed consistently, the Daily 8 Plan will help you maintain the consistency required to build a thriving team and an exponentially expanding residual income.
Instead of working 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week your goal is to capture 8 POINTS a day, 5 days a week for a total of 40 POINTS per week.
Print this sheet and use it to track your weekly points.
Follow this plan consistently for 90-days and teach your team to do the same. At the end of 90 days, REPEAT and then REPEAT again. This is your Daily Method of operation.
The real secret to your Avon Business success is that there is NO SECRET!
It simply takes a simple plan and the dedication and commitment to WORK THE PLAN consistently! That’s it!

Today We’ll Talk About Building a $200 Order!
There are several bonuses available for you as a New Avon Representative that you’ll want to earn for sure. But focus on that $200 number.
You will earn an extra $20 bonus for every $200 you sell within a single campaign. Keep bumping up those $200 increments and you’ll receive more of those $20 bills!
If you max out the Pathway to Premier Program, you’ll not only earn all those $20 bills, you’ll also receive Milestone Bonuses as you reach certain goals.
And if you continue to max out the program, you can earn over $3,000 in your first 8 campaigns, and your earnings will be up to 65% during that timeframe.
You can find a worksheet here to help you track your progress and maximize the program.
As you continue to grow your business, your sales goals will probably change, but as you are just getting started, focus of that $200 order.
That is what will give you a great start.
So now that you know where to set your first goals, let’s look at some ways to achieve them.
1 – Know what it takes to reach that $200 Goal
The first thing you want to do is understand what it will take to reach your goals.
I have found that my average order for my delivery customers is about $25.
Online orders are usually higher because people want to get free shipping. Not everybody orders $60 for free shipping, so I would estimate my average online order to be about $40.
Over time, you will start to be able to figure out what your average orders are, but let’s just start with these numbers to get started.
So, to get $200 in sales, you would need…
9 Customer orders at $25/each, or 5 Customer orders at $40/each.
When you understand this concept, it’s easier to be able to see that you will need to find 9 customers to build that order.
It gives you a goal and something to work towards.
So, how many customers do you think you can find this campaign?
2 – Become your own best customer
Now that you’re getting a discount, why wouldn’t you buy EVERYTHING from YOUR business instead of supporting a big company store?
Keep in mind that anything you purchase for yourself also counts towards that $200 order.
Now, I’m not saying you should be spending money with Avon when you signed up to make money. But if you’re buying these things anyway, why not buy them from yourself.
You will be paying less for things like:
- Shampoo
- Conditioner
- Makeup
- Perfume/Cologne
- Body Wash
- Kids Bath Products
- Hand Creams
- Toothpaste and Teeth Whitening Products
- Candles
- Clothing
- Jewelry
- Laundry Products
- Dish Soap and Dishwasher Detergent
- And so much more…
Slowly start replacing all the products in your house with products from your new Avon business.
If you were headed to the store tomorrow and were making a list of things you need, what products would be on that list?
Which of those products can you buy from YOUR OWN BUSINESS at a discount?
Why play full price for those products when you can buy them from YOURSELF at a discount and receive credit for those purchases towards your sales levels and Avon recognition programs.
3 – Prospect for New Customers to Build Your Business
The first thing to do is make a list of everyone you know.
Start with those who are closest to you… family, close friends, etc.
These are the people that you are just going to tell what you are doing, and ask if they will join you, or try your products, or if they will be a referral partner.
Next, let’s think about your warm market.
These are people you know who may or may not be interested. These people may be business oriented (who does your hair or nails, who is your insurance salesman, etc.), networking contacts, Facebook friends, LinkedIn friends, other social media friends, the contacts in your phone, your holiday card list, etc.
Don’t prejudge anybody. Just put them on your list.
Use this Memory jogger to help you think of more people, and keep adding names to your list.
Sort your list. At the top should be your closest friends and those you think will be more likely to be interested.
Start contacting the people on your list.
This is not a sales call though. Each call is likely to be different based on the person you are talking with.
Just let them know you’ve just started your own Avon business and ask them if they’d like to look at an Avon Brochure.
You can offer them the paper brochure or the digital brochure – it’s up to you.
You’re not trying to sell them anything. Just find out if they are interested, and if so, get the brochure to them.
Once you’ve determined they’re interested, be sure to add them to your customer follow-up system so that you will get them a brochure and follow-up with them every campaign. And you’ll also want to add them to your follow-up list so you can check back in 2 days to see if they saw anything they wanted.
Once you’ve worked through your list, now you’ll need to get outside of your warm market and find new people to share your business with.
Here is a post that talks about building an Email List, but it shows you a really cool way to make a post on Facebook that will get people to send you their email addresses.
Then you can plug them into your AvonNow Contact Manager and an Avon Promotion to continue to build your business.
The above post teaches you how to do that.
Here is another post that will give you some ideas on how to find more customers and prospects.
4 – Get a Brochure to Every Customer and Prospective Customer
You can build your Avon business immediately online. No need to wait for brochures or your starter kit to arrive.
You can immediately start sharing your Digital Avon Book with everyone on your contact list! You can even instantly share your Digital Avon Book from your phone!
The most recent current Avon Catalog is always located on your Avon Online Store which is 100% free for you to use to build your Avon business.
That being said, the paper brochure is a great prospecting tool.
I get more orders when I get a paper brochure into my customer’s hands. I mail brochures even to my online customers. It helps keep them coming back to my store.
But you can use either the paper brochure or the Digital brochure, whichever best meets your needs.
Here is a post about how to get a brochure to every customer every campaign.
However you decide to distribute your Avon Catalogs, you need to find a way to make sure that EVERY Customer receives an Avon Catalog EVERY Campaign.
5 – Get Contact Information for Everyone You Give a Brochure to, and then Follow-up!
We’re all busy. How many times have you taken a brochure, looked through it, saw items you wanted, and maybe even marked the page or turned down the corner… and then put the brochure down and forgot to call your order in.
Getting contact information for everyone you give a brochure to is critical.
And it’s not as hard as you might think.
Here’s a post on how to get their contact information, and it gives you several options.
And then, once you have their contact information, be sure to follow-up with every person you gave a brochure to.
This post also teaches you how to follow-up with every brochure you gave out.
These follow-ups are critical to the success of your business.
It is important to take them seriously.
Everyone these days is extremely busy. They don’t have time to do everything they want to do.
They may have looked at your brochure, and even want to place an order, but have never gotten around to calling or contacting you.
If you don’t follow-up, you are likely to lose that order.
Don’t miss this critical step in growing your business.
6 – Work your Social Media Accounts
Grow your Email list
Be sure to continue to grow your email list by working Avon Promotions and sharing the free items you can offer.
As you add new contacts to your AvonNow Address Book, Avon will continue to market to them for you.
This post teaches you how to collect email address and build that Address Book List, and then create a promotion for your new contacts.
Share your experiences with your followers.
Have you tried any of the products? What do you love about them? Share this with your followers.
Create Themes for Each Day of the Week
Sticking with a daily theme makes it easy to keep your posts balanced.
Have some fun with a Throwback Thursday or a Motivational Monday.
Create your own themes based on your business and audience then go one step further by using a custom hashtag.
Here’s a post that helps you create super-hot social media content to help grow your business online.
7 – As you Continue to Grow your Business, Plug Everyone into your System
It’s important to have a system in place to manage your potential customers and recruits.
This will help you ensure that you get a brochure to every customer every campaign, and that you follow-up with everyone you gave a brochure to.
If you want a big business, it is important to treat it as such from the beginning.
Even if you only have 3 names, it is important to treat them as though you had hundreds of names.
It’s easiest to setup a system when you are just starting, and then that system will allow you to grow easily and quickly.
And you will be so glad you did this from the beginning.
Your $200 Orders are just the Beginning
As you continue to grow your business, it will be easy to hit those $200 orders.
In fact, if you keep working, you’ll start to reach $400 and then $600, and even $1,000 orders.
