How To Do A Facebook Live And Be Able To Share Your Screen
Facebook Live Streaming is the thing to do on Facebook. And Live events are getting much more Facebook reach and interactions.
After all, live streaming helps potential customers see your authenticity and allows you to tell a story which makes you and your Avon business more relatable.
When people see you on video, they see the real you. They start to feel like they know you, and it helps build that trust in a way that far exceeds any other type of post on Facebook.
I have committed to do a daily Facebook Live on my business page, and although I can easily do it with my phone, I’m much more comfortable on the computer.
The program I use is BeLive. This program gives me so many options to stream live.
It allows me to do my daily Facebook Lives with just myself talking but it also do so much more:
Solo – This is when I’m just doing my own live video.
Interview – This is where I can do interview style with up to 4 guests on screen. You can have up to 10 guests in the Lobby (a holding area) and can pop people in and out.
Talk Show – This allows me to have the same number of guests, but I’m also able to share my computer screen. This is the format I use when I do my weekly Sunday evening training videos.
All of the BeLive options come with a really cool feature to share comments on the screen as well!
Here are some of the reasons I LOVE BeLive:
- It’s super easy to set up and use – No bulky program to run in the background or equipment to purchase. You just connect it to your Facebook and you’re ready to go. You can even schedule your Lives in advance if you want and Facebook will show it as an upcoming event.
- The cost is very reasonable – You can get started for only $16/month, and they’ll even let you try it for FREE when you use my link.
- The ability to easily see and engage with Facebook comments is great! And you can highlight comments right on your video screen as you’re addressing them. (Note, you can’t see the names of people commenting if you are inside a group due to Facebook limitations. This doesn’t apply, though, when on your personal or business page).
You can get BeLive here, and by using my link you can try it for FREE for 14 days!
How to Be More Comfortable on Camera
Going Live on Facebook can be scary if you’ve never done it before.
You may be thinking:
“I want to do live streaming but I’m not confident!”
“I can’t do that. Only experts can speak to a camera without fainting!”
“People will judge me. I’m not pretty enough to be on camera!”
“I’m not interesting enough!”
These are just some of the reasons I hear when I talk to people about live streaming and why people are scared to do it.
But here’s how I think about it.
If I was sitting with you at a coffee shop and talking, I’m being the real me, right? I can’t go back and decide I cleared my throat too much, or I said, Umm too much. It’s just me, and neither of us is evaluating how I came across.
It’s not different when you’re on camera. Just look at the camera and picture the person you’re talking to. Be you and you will attract the exact people who relate to you.
When you choose what you’re going to talk about, pick a topic that you know well, or that you can just share from your heart. Then you won’t have to worry about what you’re going to say.
You don’t need to go long. Four minutes is all that’s required for your live video to get the most interaction. In fact, you really don’t want your video to be too long or you’ll lose people’s interest. Four to six minutes is perfect.
And keep in mind that everything is scary at first. But the more you do it, the better you’ll be at it, and the more comfortable you’ll be.
Just get started! Your future success is waiting for you. 🙂
