How To Set Up Your Google Business Listing For Your Avon Business

If you’re looking to build your Avon business online, having a Google Business Listing is crucial.

Google Business Profile (GBP) is a free tool created by Google to help business owners manage how they appear in Google search results and on Google Maps.

With it, you can claim your free Avon business listing on Google and add things like your contact information, business hours, photos, services, and much more.

We all do it, right!?

You’re hungry and looking for a restaurant.

Where’s the first place you look?

Most likely you’ll go to a Google search and input restaurant near me.

And that is how you will find a restaurant you want to try.

When your new potential customer searches for “Avon representative near me,” your Google Business Listing can help them find you.

In fact, with your Google Business listing, your Avon business could be at the top of someone’s next Google search today.

Setting the Name of Your Business

Once you get logged in, if you haven’t set up a listing in the past, it is going to ask you to enter the name of your business.

For mine, I used Avon Representatives Lynn & Richard Huber.

One great suggestion is to make your Google Business Page have the same name as your Facebook Business Page.

Be sure to follow Avon’s policies.  You can find them on Avon.com under Manage Business/ Documents and Resources.

Business Category

Choose the category that best fits you and your Avon business.

My Google My Business page is set as a Beauty Product Supplier.

Some other choices available are Beauty Supply Store, Cosmetics Store, etc.

Find the category that best fits your Avon business.

If you’re not sure, no worries… you’ll be able to change it later.

Location Customers Can Visit

Typically, this is if you have a brick-and-mortar business such as an Avon Licensed Store.

You can go ahead and click on No here.

When you get to the next screen, it will ask what city you are in.

Add Your Contact Information

Add your phone number and your Avon website.

Verify Your Mailing Address

You will need to verify your address in order to set up your Google My Business profile.

Go ahead and enter your home address.

Your home address will not show up to the public.

Now you will be given several options to verify your account – text, phone call, mail a card to your address, etc.

Choose the best option and verify your Google My Business account.

Complete Your Business Profile

Once you verify your business, you can log in and edit your account.

Just sign in to your Google Business account and select the Info tab on the left side of your screen.

You’ll be able to use your Google Business Profile account to create a simple website or welcome page.

You will be able to add/update things such as delivery location, service area, business hours, etc.

You’ll also be able to add more information about yourself and your business.

And you can even add photos, videos, special offers, or posts about products and services and link them back to your Avon Online store.

Another thing that will really help you is to get people to leave reviews about you and your Avon business.  Reviews are great for social proof, which adds more trust to your Google My Business web page.

Be sure to make your listing as complete and robust as possible, as this will also improve the chances that you will come up at the top of the search page.

Putting it All Together

Imagine a new customer calling you and telling you they found you on Google.

They found YOU.

Now, stop imagining because it’s all possible with your Google Business Profile.

Your Google page will also provide you with insights as to how many times your listing has come up in a search, how many times people have viewed it, and even how many people have clicked on the button to call you.

Keep in mind this is just one additional way to grow your business.

But even if you only had 3-4 people per month click on your listing, that’s 3-4 people more than you had.  And over the course of a year, that number can really add up.
