How To Set Yourself Up For Success In Your Avon Business (It’s Not A Secret)
We all want to be successful at everything we do in our business life, as well as our personal life.
And yes, we all have setbacks along the way.
But we don’t have to let those setbacks define us. If you prepare yourself for the road ahead and really visualize what you want to accomplish, then the only person standing in the way of your success is you.
There’s no magic potion to enable you to be successful.
Even those who are wildly successful in Avon or those who pop up as overnight sensations worked hard for many, many years before they found that level of success.
It’s how you select your goals and the process you put in place to make those goals a reality that make the pieces of the puzzle fit together to help you achieve what you want.
Work through this process and you WILL find success in both your Avon business and in life.
1. Create Goals
This is nothing new. We’ve all heard it before. But sit down and really think about what it is that you want out of your business.
Creating these goals – no matter how big or small they are – sets you in the right direction. It shows you the track you want to be on in order to have that path towards what you want to accomplish.
Some goals need to be broken down into smaller goals.
For instance, if you’re just getting started in your Avon business, then you probably won’t make multimillions of dollars your first year. Instead, set that multimillion dollar goal as a long-term goal, and break it into smaller steps as you work towards it.
Your goals shouldn’t dampen your spirit; they should guide you toward your next action steps.
2. Decide Who You Want to Be
Just like identifying who your ideal customer is, put into words the type of person YOU want to be. And then identify what that type of person does differently than you do.
For instance, if a multi-million-dollar Avon business is what you want, what are some of the habits other top Avon Representatives do to grow their business?
Get in the habit to watch those who are successful and learn what they do. Success leaves clues. You certainly don’t want to copy these people exactly, but you will need to add some of their behaviors to your routine to put you on the path of being your ideal self.
3. Create Processes That You’ll Do Consistently to Reach those Goals
The processes you create to reach your goals are much more important than the actual goal itself.
While the goal keeps you focused on a direction, the process, or system, is all about the action you need to take to achieve that goal.
Utilize some of the systems we provide to our team members.
Consider following a checklist for your daily tasks with a time limit for each task.
For instance, allow yourself 10 minutes to check and respond to emails, then sign out of email for a few hours. Creating blocks of time for your tasks helps you focus on one task or one customer/team member for a certain amount of time.
If you ever feel like your systems have stalled, focus on improving the process instead of changing the goals. If you want to reach your goal more quickly, you might need to add a step or two, or add more time to certain tasks.
Your goal can be a static thought, but your processes and systems are meant to be more fluid and adaptable to change.
Every single living, breathing person has the opportunity to create the life of their dreams with these simple steps. This includes YOU!
The road is never going to easy, and each person achieves success on their own timeline. But with focused, hard work and a desire to succeed, you’ll soon see opportunities come up with will bring you closer toward your ultimate goals.
