The holiday sales season tends to be one of the most exciting seasons of the year for retail.

And this year can be even more lucrative for us to sell Avon Online.

It’s also the time of year when we tend to sign on the most new team members and customers.

Growing your Avon business is pretty simple.

There are only 4 main steps:

  1. Prospecting for new customers & recruits.
  2. Getting a brochure (either paper or digital) to every customer every campaign.
  3. Following up with every customer you gave a brochure to every campaign before you place your order.
  4. Take the order, submit it to Avon and deliver to your customer, or send them to your Avon Online Store to place their order

And then Rinse and Repeat.

It’s really that simple. You just do these 4 steps over and over again, and you will have a strong Avon business.

We have our Daily 8 System to help you work on the activities that will help you grow your business.

The Daily 8 system is a proven formula

When followed consistently, the Daily 8 Plan will help you maintain the consistency required to build a thriving team and an exponentially expanding residual income.

Instead of working 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, your goal is to capture 8 POINTS a day, 5 days a week for a total of 40 POINTS per week.

Print this sheet and use it to track your weekly points.

Follow this plan consistently for 90-days and teach your team to do the same. At the end of 90 days, REPEAT and then REPEAT again. This is your Daily Method of operation.

Today We’ll Talk About How to Kick Off The Biggest Holiday Sales Season of the Year!

You’re probably wondering how to make the most of this season to help you earn all you can.

How do you get people to buy when we are in a recession?

How do we do this in a non-spammy way?

What If I haven’t really had a successful year? Where Do I begin?

These are the same questions I hear all the time, so I decided I would share some simple and effective ideas with you.

Get Your VIP List Going For The Holiday Sales Season!

Avon has been running some incredible promotions!

A VIP list is a great place to start to share about the deals and promotions you have going on for your business this season!

This is your warmest market of people who would be more likely to order because they already have tried the products and have experience with you.

So, Who Do You Add To Your VIP List?

Anyone who has ever ordered with you is already part of your VIP list!

So, if you have sold anything this year, guess what, you have some leads for black Friday! Congratulations!

You’ll want to go back and look at every single customer you have had since January.

To find your Customer Online Orders.

Log into Avon.com and click on your name at the top of the page.  Then click on Order History.

Check your Avon Customer Order History

To find your Delivery Customer Orders

Log into Avon.com and click on Manage Business / Web Office / Customer Invoicing.

You’ll see the invoices you’ve created for your customers.

This will help you figure out who your customers are.

I recommend finding every single customer you have had since January and then sending them a simple message!

Please remember, you are not spamming anyone, you are re-engaging with your warmest market!

And this is the best place to start!

I am not a fan of reaching out to strangers or people I do not have a relationship with. This is the definition of spam and it’s just tacky.

If you haven’t had a lot of customers this year that is okay! Still, reach out and add them to your list.

I like to use an Excel sheet!  You can also use Google sheets.

How to Set Up Your Spreadsheet

Here’s how you can categorize your customers in your spreadsheet.

I like to highlight them as they respond to keep me organized.

That way when the deals drop, I know exactly who I am reaching out to first to order.

  • GREEN means order placed
  • YELLOW means Digital Brochure link sent
  • RED means not interested.

Script to Use

Here is a simple script you can send out today to these people:

“Hey there NAME! I hope you’re doing well! (Add something personal/branded here)

You ordered with me this year, so you’re on my Black Friday full-service VIP list for the 1st access to the biggest deals of the year!

I know this season can be really busy and so I would be honored to help you take advantage of these incredible savings as well as help you take on your holiday gifting list!

Can I send over a Digital Brochure Link so you can take a look?”

This script is simple but can be a very effective way to open the door to serving your customers!

Helping them place their order and also offering to assist them with their gifting list is a great way to show you care and of course, relieve some of the stress of holiday shopping!

I recommend making shopping as easy as possible for your customers, create a flipbook or by using Canva with all your Black Friday deals and number them so it’s easy for your customers to pick out what they want!

When they say YES, feel free to send over the catalog link (for this instance, I would send the Holiday Gift Guide link) and immediately highlight their name in yellow.

Depending on what Avon does with Black Friday, the FlipBook might be a great option.

And then don’t forget to follow up!  That’s really where the magic happens.

Now It’s Time To Add To The List For Your Holiday Sales Season!

It is SO important to revisit conversations you have had in the past and re-engage.

They say the person with the most conversations wins. And it is so true!

IF you want to acquire new customers, you have to make them aware of what is going on and give them the opportunity to opt-in!

Do not overthink this. You are serving your audience by giving them the option to opt-in and save money! There is nothing wrong with that!

So, Let’s Look At Who to Add to Your List Next

Now we want to take a look at the people who haven’t purchased from us yet.

I’m going to give you several ideas about where to find people and some simple scripts you can personalize to best fit you and your business.

These scripts are designed for those who have had some exposure to your products and services!

I do not believe in cold messaging strangers and asking them to join your VIP list.

It’s not something I will ever condone unless strangers are opting in to me and interacting with my content.

Lists and Simple Scripts to Use

Customers who haven’t ordered this year but maybe they ordered last year or sometime prior.

“Hi there NAME!

I wanted to check in and let you know how much I value you and your time.

I know it’s been a while since your last order, but I wanted to make sure I made you aware we have some amazing deals dropping very soon for Black Friday!

I would be honored to have you on my VIP red carpet service list to help you save money and even help you get some holiday shopping done for people on your list!

Can I send you a Digital Brochure link to take a look?”

Guests from parties, guests who have opted into emails, or past events who haven’t ordered.

“Hi there NAME!

I wanted to pop in and let you know how much I value you and your time.

It’s been a while since NAME’s (party/event/bash) I wanted to make sure I made you aware we have some amazing deals dropping very soon for Black Friday!

I would be honored to have you on my VIP red carpet service list to help you save money and even help you get some holiday shopping done for people on your list!

Can I send you a Digital Brochure link to take a look?”

People in your VIP Facebook group who have never ordered or attended an event/party.

“Hi there NAME!

I wanted to pop in and let you know how much I value you and your time.

I know you have not had a chance to try Avon, but I think you would love some of the products that have helped me (LIST BENEFITS)!

This season might just be the perfect time to try them for less!

I wanted to make sure I made you aware we have some amazing deals dropping very soon for Black Friday!

I would be honored to have you on my VIP red carpet service list to help you save money and even help you get some holiday shopping done for people on your list!

Can I send you a Digital Brochure link to take a look?”

Everyone who says YES, Add to your VIP LIST and then Reply back with this message along with a link to your Digital Brochure link.

Again, I would use the Holiday Gift Guide link.  But right now, at the time of this writing, Avon has some amazing deals under the Featured / Holiday Beauty Event.  Use whatever links work best for you based on what Avon has going on at the time.

“Great! Here is the link to our Holiday Gift Guide with all the great holiday specials we have going on!

Let me know if there is anything you see that catches your eye or have a question about and I will help you get your order in when they launch!” (Attach link)

The easier you can make this process for your leads, the more they more likely they will want to order with you!

But the VIP list building needs to begin ASAP!

You can work this right now with the Holiday Gift Guide and the specials going on.

As soon as Avon releases any Black Friday specials, put the deals into something visual (you can create something in Canva) and send them out again.

Leverage Social Media for the Holiday Sales Season

Social Media has really changed over the years.

We need to change with it, or we will get left behind.

This particular post is not about social media training, so I’m just going to give you some ideas to help you really take advantage of the holiday season and Black Friday and build your lead pool.

We need to be seen in order to run a business which is why I want to encourage you to show up authentically on social media.

I want to encourage you to get out of your closed VIP groups and business pages and start showing up as a human who just wants to help and serve others on social media.

Why? Because this is how to market in 2022 and beyond.

You want to be hanging out and posting where your ideal customers are hanging out and posting.  This means Stories and Reels.

This does not mean posting your shopping links or sales graphics on your feed.

The point is to create avenues for conversations! Conversations and genuine connections can lead to new leads, customers, and new teammates when done right!

So, for right now, I’m just giving you a simple way to increase your holiday sales, rather than social media training.

So, let’s keep this simple.

How to use STORIES:

Value, Lifestyle, Promote, and Sandwich your day-to-day content in between.

You absolutely have permission to share your products and how you use them in your stories.

Add polls and stickers for engagement.

People are 15 times more likely to check out your stories because they sit at the top.

The content here disappears in 24 hours, giving you more free reign to promote.

Just make sure it’s a healthy mix of content. Do not ONLY sell.

Also, I recommend sharing your feed post in your stories as well as your Instagram reels as well. Repurpose.

How to post on your FEED:

Engage, Empower, Connect and Promote once per week nonchalantly.

You want people to engage with you. 

Before you post, engage on social for 10 minutes, this will let the platform know you are actively engaging so your post will get more exposure.

If you do not typically post on your feed, start with easy engagement posts like these:

Use the colored background option on your feed and add emojis to attract more commenters.

Scripts to Use on Social Media for the Holiday Sales Season

Here is a simple script to send to people who watch and engage in your stories:

“Hey there NAME! Thanks so much for the love on my stories!

Just curious, would you be interested in checking out the Black Friday deals we are releasing soon? I can send you a Digital Brochure link 🙂 if not no biggie! “

Here is a simple script to send to people who comment on your engagement posts:

“Hey there NAME! Thanks for commenting on my post! How are you doing?”

Notice this script isn’t asking anything about black Friday.

These engagement posts are designed for you to engage with NEW people!

This is an opportunity to open up new conversations and bring in new leads.

Why?  Because the algorithm will begin to show you their content and show them your content when you actively engage with others.

Use the platforms the way they are designed to be used.

This will lead them to your stories where they can see your promotions and other useful content!

Over 3 or 4 conversations you can ask if they would be open to checking out your deals!

Here’s what that could look like:

“Hey there name! Quick question. Not sure if this would be of interest to you, but I have been using Avon products and love them because (list benefits), would you be open to checking them out? If not no biggie :)”

Creating new leads for your business during this holiday season can be a game-changer!

Focus on serving your audience, showing up daily where people can see you and actively engage!

Don’t miss out on the MANY leads who probably don’t even know what you do because you aren’t showing up where they are!
