Little Habit Tweaks Can Make A Huge Difference In Your Avon Business And Your Life

Making massive changes can sometimes be hard.  They can lead to burn out or failure.

But taking small baby steps with tiny habits toward a bigger goal is doable, sustainable, and a road to success.

Imagine what you could accomplish in a week, a month, or even a year if you created tiny habits today and keep building them up over time.

Habits, whether good habits or bad habits, have compounding effects.  The more you do them, the greater the results.

Running 5 miles one day isn’t going to get you into shape but starting small and running a little every day can make a huge difference to your health.  The same applies to not so good habits – the more frequently you drink, smoke or partake in other detrimental habits, the more health problems you will have over time.

What is a Tiny Habit?

Tiny habits are simply those actions we take every single day without even thinking about it.

Perfect examples of these are brushing your teeth every morning and night and washing your hands after going to the bathroom.  It’s what we were taught as kids and we’ve just gotten used to doing them without even giving it a second thought.

They are quick and easy, and take less than two minutes, so we don’t even notice them taking up any time out of our day.

In the running example above, obviously you need much more than two minutes to improve your health.  But adding an extra two minutes to your current running workout is barely noticeable.

If you were to add another two minutes the next week, you probably still won’t notice.  But if you keep increasing your time by two minutes, pretty soon you’ll find yourself running longer distances.  And maybe even at some point down the road, you’ll be able to run a marathon!

How to Choose Your New Habits

Tiny habits can help you in every single area of your life and your business.

Take some time to really think about what you want to accomplish or where you need improvement.

Once you’ve set a goal for where you want your business to go, you’ll be able to find the steps and habits that will help you reach those goals.

Health

Create a tiny habit to drink more water or eat more produce every day.  Keep packets of Avon Espira Hydration to help flavor your water to make it more palatable if that helps.

It won’t take long for your body to start craving even more water and before long eating more produce will become second nature.

Relationships

What if you created a tiny habit to spend 10 minutes reconnecting with your spouse or partner at the end of every day?

This can be especially important if you’re juggling a busy business along with children and all the activities that comes with them.

Do you have a regularly scheduled date night?  Get in the habit of hiring a babysitter and putting your adult relationship first.

Business –

Get in the habit of using your calendar and block out the times you will be working your business.

Schedule tasks such as getting out and meeting more people, distributing Avon brochures, follow-ups, deliveries, etc.

The Pomodoro technique is a great way to accomplish projects or meet deadlines.  To use this technique, set a kitchen timer to block off 25-minute increments where you focus on a task until the timer rings.  Take a 5-minute break, and then reset the timer.

These are just a few ideas; you’re only limited by your own creativity, how quickly you want to build your business, and the goals you set for yourself.

The real key is to make sure you are implementing those tiny habits that will compound every day to help you grow your business.
