A Power Hour Can Help You STOP Wasting Your Valuable Time
Have you ever thought about implementing a Power Hour into your Avon business?
After all, how much time do you really put into your business?
Like legit, “get to sit down and work on YOUR business, don’t interrupt me” time?
Growing your Avon business is pretty simple.
There are only 4 main steps:
- Prospecting for new customers & recruits.
- Getting a brochure (either paper or digital) to every customer every campaign.
- Following up with every customer you gave a brochure to every campaign before you place your order.
- Take the order, submit it to Avon and deliver to your customer, or send them to your Avon Online Store to place their order
And then Rinse and Repeat.
It’s really that simple. You just do these 4 steps over and over again, and you will have a strong Avon business.
We have our Daily 8 System to help you work on the activities that will help you grow your business.
The Daily 8 system is a proven formula
When followed consistently, the Daily 8 Plan will help you maintain the consistency required to build a thriving team and an exponentially expanding residual income.
Instead of working 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, your goal is to capture 8 POINTS a day, 5 days a week for a total of 40 POINTS per week.
Print this sheet and use it to track your weekly points.
Follow this plan consistently for 90-days and teach your team to do the same. At the end of 90 days, REPEAT and then REPEAT again. This is your Daily Method of operation.
The real secret to your Avon Business success is that there is NO SECRET!
It simply takes a simple plan and the dedication and commitment to WORK THE PLAN consistently! That’s it!

Today We’ll Talk About How a Power Hour Can Help You Stop Wasting Valuable Time
So, how much time do you really put into your business?
For most of us, like the ones with a full time job and kids, and a house to take care of, it’s probably not that much!
When we DO get the chance to take that time to get some work done…what do most of us do?
- TikTok?
- Mindless Facebook scrolling?
- Maybe end up over on Amazon looking at something we want?
If this sounds familiar, it’s ok. You’re not alone. I’m guilty of it too sometimes.
Enter the Power Hour
Do you want your Avon business to thrive?
Many Avon Reps, think that in order for their businesses to thrive, they have to work eight hours a day, seven days a week.
Even if they’ve been with Avon for years, they may still feel as if they need to work constantly in order to get results.
Nothing could be further from the truth, especially if you build your business the right way, with a strong foundation in your relationships.
In fact, all you need is an hour a day to do the work that drives your business.
Build Your Business In An Hour (Or Less) A Day
Time is at a premium in our lives.
The full-time job and kids, and a house to take care of, are just some of the things we have to do!
The best way to succeed and be consistent is to have a system in place.
When I first started my Avon business, my biggest struggle was time and finding a system that allowed me to stay in touch with all of my contacts – every single one of them.
Richard and I were both working 60-70 hours a week, and I was commuting three hours a day to my job.
I needed to find a way to follow up with people seamlessly so that nobody fell through the cracks.
Over time, I created my Automated Follow-Up System.
When you free up your time with our automated system, it’s easier to do the daily lead-generating tasks that build a business, and in an hour or less a day.
Master your Power Hour
Half of this hour should be spent prospecting for new customers and team members.
Your business growth is always dependent on the new! So, it really is that important
It’s critical that you constantly be adding new customers and recruits to your business.
There are lots of ways to meet new people.
In my OnlineBeautyBiz Blog, you’ll find lots of ideas of ways to prospect.
Find what works for you.
Then when you get home be sure to enter your new prospects into your automated follow-up system.
Continue to add people to your automated system by adding their information when you get it.
By utilizing our automated follow-up system, you are able to schedule your follow-ups in must minutes. This includes brochures to be mailed, and follow-up texts and phone calls.
You’ll never have to worry about not getting all your follow-ups done – everyone is already on your follow-up list.
And the automation will get you out of your head. No longer will you worry that you are being a “bug” or following up too much.
You schedule it, and you’re done with that task.
And then you’ll still have time in your Power Hour to schedule social media posts, respond to calls, texts, and emails, and whatever else you need to get done.
Utilize a Task Manager so you can check things off as you get them done.
My favorite is Microsoft ToDo. You can learn more about how I use it here.
Becoming Consistent
The biggest hurdle many Avon Reps face in becoming a Power Hour Boss is achieving consistency.
That is, committing to doing a Power Hour every day.
So often, life gets in the way. Things come up and committing to a whole hour at once just isn’t possible.
You don’t have to wait until you have an hour to become entrenched in what you’re doing so that you’re successful at creating a habit.
Take 15 minutes with each task and it can turn into results and rewards quickly. And over time, it will become a habit of reward and success.
In fact, many successful Avon Representatives do 15-minutes here and 10-minutes there throughout the day until they’ve worked through their task lists.
There are lots of “pockets of time” that you can take advantage of throughout your day.
Maybe you’re waiting for your child’s soccer game to start, or you’re waiting for your child to come out from school.
Utilizing those pockets of time can truly help you become a successful beauty boss!
What happens if you miss a few days or even a week?
That’s okay, just focus on hitting today’s goal.
Then, make it a point to do a Power Hour as many days a week as possible.
There’s no need to go overboard.
The most important thing is to commit to making your Power Hour a daily habit.
After all, if you miss a week at the gym, you wouldn’t go on Friday and do 6 workouts that day to make up for it.
That wouldn’t get you any closer to your fitness goal AND you’d be too exhausted to do much of anything else.
Instead, just do one to get back into it.
Always Stay In Touch
Staying in touch with your customer is the best thing you can do for your business.
That’s why our Automated Follow-Up System is so critical.
In fact, when you build your business on relationships, it’s the most important part of your business.
Here’s why:
Providing excellent service is the right thing to do. Service is an act of love.
When you serve your customers, prospects, and team members, you show them how much you care.
You show them that they mean more to you than a sale – you truly want to help them.
When you’re in regular contact with your customers, they order more and remain customers longer.
You’ve built a relationship with them, and they trust you.
They also love the products and services you offer and will keep coming back.
What about people who perhaps bought from you once or twice and haven’t in a while?
Just because they don’t have a current order with you right now doesn’t mean they don’t think of themselves as a customer of yours.
Treat them the same as you do your customers who have orders in.
You never know when they’re going to place an order and by staying in touch with them, you stay top of mind.
That means when they’re ready to place an order, they think of you.
Use The Power Hour To Get More Things Done And Build Your Avon Business.
1 – Keep a Power Hour task list –
Get going with Microsoft ToDo, or whatever task program you prefer.
If you capture tasks in a notebook, consider dedicating a page to Power Hour-type tasks.
If you use an electronic task manager, create a Power Hour tag or project heading to capture these tasks.
2 – Plan Your Power Hour –
First, schedule the time on your calendar.
Then, spend 2 minutes choosing about an hour’s worth of tasks from your Power Hour Task List.
Set yourself up for some success by initially under-estimating what you can accomplish in an hour.
You’ll get better at selecting the right number of tasks with practice.
3 – Respect Your Scheduled Power Hour and Get to Work –
During this hour stay focused.
It helps to shut off email and social networking notifications.
Turn on some music and get up and moving if this helps you focus.
4 – Celebrate Your Accomplishments –
Vigorously cross things off your list as you’re done.
Congratulate yourself for staying on task for an hour.
Bask in the happiness of having a nagging chore done.
5 – Repeat –
The Power Hour works best when it is a regular, recurring event.
If you have to break it down into 15-minutes here and 10-minutes there throughout the day, that’s totally okay.
Are You A Power Hour Beauty Boss?
Commit to a daily Power Hour and you’re committing to your business success.
The Power Hour works because it is an organized strategy for planning and executing work.
It helps you to make sure that you’re doing the most important tasks, and allows you to grow a fantastic, successful Avon business!
