Should I Blog To Increase My Avon Business
Maybe you’ve thought about blogging, and maybe not. There are many reasons why you might want to start a blog.
Before we go any further, I want to say that blogging is absolutely not a requirement to build your Avon business. There is no right or wrong way to build your Avon business. Many Representatives have great luck in face-to-face situations, and others do better online.
In fact, especially if you are a new Avon Representative, I strongly suggest you start with your friends and family first.
If you choose to blog, however, it can have a tremendous effect in your Avon business over time.
A blog is different than a website because it’s a collection of stories that you’ve written over time. Rather than a static page, a blog is always evolving and growing – something Google loves when adding your blog to their search database.
Every time you write a blog post, it’s one more indexed page on your website. It’s also one more cue to Google and other search engines that your website is active and they should be checking in frequently to see what content you’ve published that they should surface.
Blogging also helps you get discovered via social media. Every time you write a blog post, you’re creating content that people can share on social networks — Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, and Google+ — which helps expose your business to a new audience that doesn’t know you yet.
Your blog can help establish you as an authority. Can you imagine the impact of sending an educational blog post you wrote to clear things up for a confused customer? Or how many questions you can answer for people who might consider joining your team?
But the best part… Blogging drives long-term results.
Let’s say you sit down for an hour and write and publish a blog post today. Let’s say that blog post gets you 100 views and 10 leads. You get another 50 views and 5 leads tomorrow as a few more people find it on social media and some of your subscribers get caught up on their email.
After a couple days, most of the fanfare from that post dies down and you’ve netted 150 views and 15 leads.
Except your blog is still doing it’s work…
That blog post is now ranking in search engines. That means for days, weeks, months, and years to come, you can continue to get traffic and leads from that one blog post. So while you’re surfing in Hawaii, picking up your kid from school, and hitting your snooze alarm, you’re also driving traffic and leads.
Someone types into the search engine, “how do I sell Avon?” and boom, they’re sent to your blog and you now have a new prospect! You were relaxing by the pool, and you get a notification in your email. How cool is that!
One hour of effort today can turn into hundreds of thousands of views and leads in the future.

You don’t have to do everything all at once. It takes time to build an online presence. Just get started, and start writing blog posts about your products and your business… and over time, you’ll have that strong online presence for your business.
When people go to Google to search for Avon or Avon products, you will be the one they will find.
