If I Had To Start Over In My Avon Business… Here’s How I’d Do It
Having to start all over in your Avon business can be both exciting and daunting.
But truth be told, there’s not a lot of difference between launching a NEW business and relaunching your existing business when you’ve maybe fallen stagnant.
I had to do this when I walked away from Avon and came back.
Growing your Avon business is pretty simple.
There are only 4 main steps:
- Prospecting for new customers & recruits.
- Getting a brochure (either paper or digital) to every customer every campaign.
- Following up with every customer you gave a brochure to every campaign before you place your order.
- Take the order, submit it to Avon and deliver to your customer, or send them to your Avon Online Store to place their order.
And then Rinse and Repeat.
It’s really that simple. You just do these 4 steps over and over again, and you will have a strong Avon business.
We have our Daily 8 System to help you work on the activities that will help you grow your business.
The Daily 8 system is a proven formula
When followed consistently, the Daily 8 Plan will help you maintain the consistency required to build a thriving team and an exponentially expanding residual income.
Instead of working 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, your goal is to capture 8 POINTS a day, 5 days a week for a total of 40 POINTS per week.
Follow this plan consistently for 90-days and teach your team to do the same. At the end of 90 days, REPEAT and then REPEAT again. This is your Daily Method of operation.
The real secret to your Avon Business success is that there is NO SECRET!
It simply takes a simple plan and the dedication and commitment to WORK THE PLAN consistently! That’s it!

Today We’ll Talk About What I Would Do If I Had To Start Over In My Avon Business
I could kick myself over and over for walking away from Avon when I did. But I learned a lot in the process.
Luckily, I didn’t actually quit my business. My account was still active, and my team was still somewhat working.
But I had to reignite my behind back in gear to build it back up again.
If you find yourself in a situation where you have to start over in your Avon business, don’t fret!
It’s an opportunity to learn from your past experiences and approach your new journey with a fresh perspective.
Embrace the Power of a Fresh Start When You Start Over In Your Avon Business
Yes, I wasn’t happy that I had to start over again, but I knew a fresh start could really make a difference.
Starting over doesn’t mean starting from zero; it means building upon the valuable lessons you’ve learned.
Embrace the opportunity to redefine your goals, reevaluate your strategies, and infuse your business with renewed passion.
Remember, every setback is a setup for a comeback!
Affirm My Beliefs
First thing I need to make sure that I believe in what I am doing.
I think this is why I struggled with other companies when I walked away from Avon.
If I don’t truly believe that I have something WORTH sharing, and something that I trust and would let my closest loved ones know about, then maybe this isn’t for me.
But If I had a passion for it before, I need to tap back into why I started to begin with!
I learned the hard way that Avon is where I belong. I tried other companies without much success.
But now I know, without a doubt, that Avon is where I’m supposed to be.
There’s no question in my mind!
Set My Goals
Next, it’s time to set my GOALS!
From Big to Small, we all need to have goals WRITTEN down and organized in a way that we can come back, revisit them, and compare where we are at with where we want to be.
I would make sure I know what I’m working towards, and where I want to go with my Avon business.
Schedule Time In My Calendar
Next, I’m going to look at my calendar and I’m going to set aside time to work on my business.
It doesn’t need to be a full 40 hours…
I can build my business with 10 hours a week, no problem.
But I need to know WHAT I’m doing during those 10 hours, so they are productive… so I’m building my D.M.O. (Daily method of operations).
As I figure out the tasks I need to perform daily/weekly/per campaign, I input them into Microsoft ToDo. This task list keeps me on track.
If I was only going to spend 10 hours a week, I would plan in some Power Hours.
This is great, sit down and work on MY business, don’t interrupt me” time
Build Out My Personal Brand With Intention!
First, I’m looking to identify my Target Audience.
Determine who my Perfect Customer is and build out a profile of exactly WHO it is I’m talking to.
Second, I’ll do a Social Media Audit to see how new leads will see my profile and the first impression I give off.
Is my profile positive and upbeat? Or full of complaining and whining.
I want to give the best first impression I can as I’m working to start over in my Avon business.
Start Building A Community To Support New Customers Through Their Journey
The first 3 assets I would immediately start building in order to generate leads and support customers would be:
Start a VIP Facebook Group for my new/potential customers.
Implement Systems To Help Me Continue to Build As I Start Over
I created our Automated Systems so that I can start to plug in the people I meet.
You’ll want to make sure every person gets either a Paper or Digital Brochure every campaign.
Every person also gets a text or phone follow-up every campaign
These systems are what will keep your business moving forward and give you time to grow.
Start Marketing on Social Media
Plan out the content inside my Facebook VIP Group to include 1 post per day, mixing in Value, Interaction, and Product Posts so that I’m not always selling.
Launching a Weekly Signature Event in my group to give people an opportunity to really get to know ME!
It’s like having your own weekly show!
Start Marketing With Intention Using My Social Media Framework
I would create my non-negotiable social media minimums.
We all know that Social Media likes to reward consistency, so it’s important to maintain that in order to ride the waves.
Focus on the Power Of One Framework – One wall post, One VIP Group Post, One Instagram Post, One Instagram Reel, One Facebook Reel every day.
If you feel like you struggle with coming up with WHAT to post and need help with content, be sure to check out our Social Media Calendars.
Plan 6-8 Facebook Stories each day to my Personal Facebook/Instagram Page to attract new people to talk to.
Your stories are where you can create conversations. I suggest you maintain a minimum of 6 stories per day.
Become A Conversation Master And Create 10-20 New Conversations Per Day.
This is the real secret to successfully selling online.
It is being human and talking to people.
When you are consistent online and you’re expanding your network, every LIKE is a reason to create conversation!
“Hey Peggy, appreciate the like on my stories, how’s it going?” can be the easiest gateway to opening up new conversations with potential friends or clients.
Create a FOLLOW-UP list and follow up like CRAZY!
We’ve all heard that the fortune is in the follow-up!
Some of these will turn into prospects, customers, and team members. Some will not.
The key is creating the conversations and following up. If you just do the steps, your business growth will follow.
Continue to ask for permission for the next one with questions like “Would you like me to reach back out the next time XYZ?”
Start saving Repetitive messages as templates in apps like a text document on your phone, Boards, Trello, or Evernote to save time from having to repeat the same thing over and over again, as well start to get a better idea of which messages WORK better.
Continue to optimize your collection of Scripts!
As you bring people into your business, whether as a customer, recruit, or even as a prospect, be sure to add them to the Automated Systems I outlined above.
Getting Brochures and Follow-Ups every campaign is key to your growth.
Continue To Scale And Move Your Business Forward
Starting Over In Your Business Requires Time, Effort, and Intention!
As much as we all want business to be easy… business is business.
It takes time, and effort and I’ll say it again… INTENTION.
It’s not necessarily hard, but that doesn’t make it necessarily easy either.
The steps themselves are not hard. But you need to stay consistent – that may be the hardest part.
Stay Positive and Persistent
Having to start over with any business can be challenging, but maintaining a positive mindset is essential.
Embrace a “can-do” attitude, celebrate small victories, and learn from setbacks.
Stay persistent in your efforts, knowing that every step you take brings you closer to your goals.
Surround yourself with positive influences, whether it’s motivational books, podcasts, or supportive friends, to keep your spirits high.
You Got This!
If you find yourself having to start over with your Avon business, view it as an opportunity for growth and success.
With a fresh perspective, a strong belief in what you’re doing, a strong online presence, and a dedication to building relationships, you’ll be on your way to achieving remarkable results.
Remember, success often comes to those who dare to begin again.
So, embrace the challenge, stay positive, and let your Avon business soar to new heights!
That’s exactly how I would start over.
Once you learn this, you’ll never be afraid to have to start over, re-engage with your business, or even start a new business!
