Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone And Take A Chance

I think that the happiest people in the world are the people who take chances. They step out of their comfort zone and take a chance.

They do things that other people are too afraid to do.

They take risks, knowing that there could be negative consequences, but they feel like the possible benefits are worth it.

Then you have the people who never take risks. The safety lovers.

They shy away from risks in order to protect themselves from possible failure, rejection, embarrassment, and whatever else they fear may happen.

But here’s the thing… when they are so focused on protecting themselves, what they are really doing is limiting themselves. Blocking opportunities for growth and greatness.

This can lead them to have a boring and unsatisfying life or not reaching the success that they are looking for in their business.

In fact, can you think of a single inspirational figure that didn’t take some type of chance? Probably not.

Step Out of Your Comfort Zone And Take A Chance

There are so many chances that we can take every day to live more exciting, fulfilling, and even profitable lives.

And they don’t even have to be big chances. Think about it!

You could see a stranger that you think is attractive and want to simply say hi to them.

But you are too afraid, so you talk yourself out of it.

A simple hi. But you never know – that person could have been the one you were meant to marry. Or it could have been your next top seller on your team!

You can take a chance in every aspect of your life, whether it is business or personal.

Taking a chance could pay off big time!

Here are a few reasons that you should take a chance:

  1. You might discover opportunities that you otherwise would not have known about.
  2. Even if you don’t succeed, taking chances can help you to learn valuable life lessons.
  3. Being someone who takes chances can position you as a leader in the eyes of others.
  4. Taking chances helps you to overcome your fear of failure.
  5. It may get you closer to accomplishing your goals.
  6. It makes life more interesting!

Let’s look at a few people who took a chance that paid off.

Lauren Luke was working in a taxi office as one of the people who took bookings from clients.

But she had a dream of selling makeup.

She took a chance by setting up a YouTube channel and selling her makeup online even though she wasn’t sure if people would buy from her since she didn’t look like a model.

She now has her own cosmetic line with Sephora, is a published author, and even has a makeup-themed videogame.

Mark Pincus turned down a huge chance in funding for a company because he didn’t want to have to give up his right to choose the CEO of his choice.

It was a huge risk because they didn’t have any other investors lined up and only one month of money left.

By sticking to what he wanted, he ended up getting funded a few months later and was able to sell the company for a good profit.

He then went on to become the founder and CEO of the wildly popular online social gaming company, Zynga (you may have heard of some of the games – Farmville and Mafia Wars).

Take a Chance

I think that the beauty of taking chances is well summed up in this quote by Mark Frost:

“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body. But rather, to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming…. Wow! What a ride!”

What are some chances that you have taken?

This could be something in business or your personal life.
