Using Events, Parties And Shows To Grow Your Avon Business
Events are a great way to promote and grow your Avon business.
There are lots of different options, and the key is keeping your eye and your mind open for opportunities.
Growing your Avon business is pretty simple.
There are only 5 main steps:
- Prospecting for new customers & recruits.
- Getting a brochure (either paper or digital) to every customer every campaign.
- Following-up with every customer you gave a brochure to every campaign before you place your order.
- Take the order, submit it to Avon and deliver to your customer, or send them to your Avon Online Store to place their order
- And then Rinse and Repeat.
It’s really that simple. You just do these 5 steps over and over again, and you will have a strong Avon business.
We have our Daily 8 System to help you work on the activities that will help you grow your business.
The Daily 8 system is a proven formula
When followed consistently, the Daily 8 Plan will help you maintain the consistency required to build a thriving team and an exponentially expanding residual income.
Instead of working 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week your goal is to capture 8 POINTS a day, 5 days a week for a total of 40 POINTS per week.
Print this sheet and use it to track your weekly points.
Follow this plan consistently for 90-days and teach your team to do the same. At the end of 90 days, REPEAT and then REPEAT again. This is your Daily Method of operation.
The real secret to your Avon Business success is that there is NO SECRET!
It simply takes a simple plan and the dedication and commitment to WORK THE PLAN consistently! That’s it!

Today we’re going to talk about using events, parties and shows to grow your Avon business.
There are lots of different options, and the key is keeping your eye and your mind open for opportunities.
Community Events
Get involved with community events.
If your community has fairs at which vendors can set up tables, attend and sell Avon products.
If you are looking for an event that you can participate in, try going to Google and searching for events that might be happening in your community.
Look for things such as fairs, flea markets, job fairs, craft shows, etc.
Give out catalogs too. Be sure to collect contact information from as many people as possible.
These Drawing Slips are very helpful for that as well.
You can offer a basket for a drawing to get the Drawing Slips filled out, or just offer them to be on your brochure list so you can get a brochure to them every campaign.
If there is an opportunity to give away an item along with other business people, give away a sample that is taped or stapled to an Avon catalog with your contact information on it.
Here’s a post with some tips on how to Set up your Booth or table at an event.
During the age of Coronavirus, one of our team members Chris Merrill gave us this awesome tip:
We have a lot of roadside fruit and vegetable stands and “UPick” flower gardens in the town where I live. I have been leaving brochures, in plastic bags, at as many of these stands as I can.
It’s a great way to use existing event-type activities to prospect even while staying safe and not meeting people face-to-face.
Host an Avon Party or Open House
Parties are an informal, fun way to get to know people and find new customers. They are a great way to build your team and increase your sales.
A party is a great way to promote special offers and show new products.
It’s a chance for your customers to see the products, live in person. They can touch and smell to their hearts content – way better than just relying on the picture in the brochure.
Here is a post about How to Host an Avon Party or Open House.
Although this is a great way to build your business, during these times it is important to you stay safe.
This might be something to put on your ToDo list after we get through this Coronavirus, unless you can find a way to do it and be safe too.
If it works in your area, you might consider doing an outdoor party in your backyard or even a local park. Being outside limits exposure to the virus, and masks will give extra protection.
Another idea along this line is to set up a tent on a busy corner.
Be sure to get permission from the business who owns the parking lot on that corner.
But then set up a tent with a couple of tables with brochures and product to sell.
Put out a big sign that says Free Avon, and people will stop to see what you have.
The Free Avon can be brochures and samples.
Host a Facebook Party
In this age of Coronavirus, you can also hold your own Facebook party on Facebook.
Facebook Parties are a great way to get more sales and customers and new representatives for your team.
And with this Coronavirus scare, they might just be the best way to continue to work your business.
Here is a post about How to Host a Facebook Party for Your Avon Business.
You’ll find everything you need in this post to do your own parties.
Join Our Daily 8 Team Parties
As a benefit to our Daily 8 Challenge team, I am planning to host group Facebook parties.
We’ll see how it goes as time goes by, but for now, I plan to host the first on with Campaign 18, and then do every other campaign.
If these are successful, we can do one every campaign.
Watch for details as I get them setup. I will email you in my OnlineBeautyBiz email, and post in the OnlineBeautyBiz group.
How Our Daily 8 Team Facebook Parties will work.
We will setup each party in a separate Private Facebook Group for that specific party.
The party will be open to any Representative who is working our Daily 8 program. You do not need to be on our specific Avon team to participate.
You will be an important part of the success of this party.
All the attendees are friends and family of you and other Avon Representatives, or people who know you and other Avon Reps in some way.
That being said, please respect that everyone in the group has already been invited by a Representative. This is not the place for you to recruit or sell someone you did not invite yourself.
To ensure boundaries and to make sure a customer doesn’t buy from the wrong Representative, there will be NO LINKS posted in the party at all. You will PM your Online Store link to your guests privately.
- Personally invite 15-30 friends and personally message or text them to invite them to the party.
- From the group, you can click on Share and share it on your wall to invite everyone you know.
- Do not just add people to the group without their permission. They will be asked a couple of questions to make sure they want to be there. If you just start adding people, I will NOT approve them.
- Be sure to welcome everyone as they come into the group.
- Comment on everything I post. Be excited! Your guests don’t know me; they want to hear from YOU!
- Respond to your guests’ posts. You can say something like, “This would look great on you.” Be sincere.
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Your guests might be wondering the same thing. But please keep in mind that potential customers and recruits are in this group, so keep your questions to subjects that are relevant to the attendees and NOT about your Avon business.
- Be sure to personally thank everyone who joins and everyone who makes a purchase.
- And then have fun! We’re going to have a great time!
