Using Online Fundraisers And Events To Grow Your Avon Business
Covid-19 is hitting everyone hard.
During this time of dislocation, fear, and trauma, nonprofits are also struggling mightily.
The pandemic and economic collapse constitute an existential threat for nonprofits working to meet the needs of the public.
There’s no guarantee that the public will receive services, now or in the future, or that staff members—the face and heart of every organization—will retain their jobs.
Everything is uncertain. Everyone is on edge.
And so, now is the perfect time to use your Avon business as a force for good.
And Fundraising is one way to do so.
Growing your Avon business is pretty simple.
There are only 4 main steps:
- Prospecting for new customers & recruits.
- Getting a brochure (either paper or digital) to every customer every campaign.
- Following-up with every customer you gave a brochure to every campaign before you place your order.
- Take the order, submit it to Avon and deliver to your customer, or send them to your Avon Online Store to place their order
And then Rinse and Repeat.
It’s really that simple. You just do these 4 steps over and over again, and you will have a strong Avon business.
We have our Daily 8 System to help you work on the activities that will help you grow your business.
The Daily 8 system is a proven formula
When followed consistently, the Daily 8 Plan will help you maintain the consistency required to build a thriving team and an exponentially expanding residual income.
Instead of working 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week your goal is to capture 8 POINTS a day, 5 days a week for a total of 40 POINTS per week.
Print this sheet and use it to track your weekly points.
Follow this plan consistently for 90-days and teach your team to do the same. At the end of 90 days, REPEAT and then REPEAT again. This is your Daily Method of operation.
The real secret to your Avon Business success is that there is NO SECRET!
It simply takes a simple plan and the dedication and commitment to WORK THE PLAN consistently! That’s it!

Today we’ll cover Avon Online Fundraisers and Events to Grow your Avon Business.
An Avon Fundraiser is a win/win for both you and nonprofits everywhere.
For decades, Avon has been helping organizations all over the world raise the funds they need for their organization.
By doing an Avon Fundraiser for an organization, you can help them raise the money they need, and in the process, it will spread the word that you are the local Avon Representative.
You will probably not earn much money by doing this, but you will pick up more customers and potential recruits while helping those in need.
Start by Finding an Organization to Support
Who needs money right now?
EVERY Nonprofit is struggling right now.
Without the ability to hold fundraisers and other events, many organizations are seeing a decline in revenue, which could hinder their ability to offer services that people need now more than ever.
With 30 million people out of work, donations are at an all-time low.
Schools are getting ready for some kind of reopening but are sorely lacking funds to do it safely.
Local nonprofits of all kinds are hurting.
You have local charities such as food banks, animal shelters, LGBTQ organizations, senior organizations, churches, and the list goes on and on.
Who do you know that has any affiliation with a school or church, or any other group that may need to raise money?
Find a connection that can hook you up. Once you get one or two groups, they will likely lead to others. News travels fast when groups have a great fundraiser.
You have so much more to offer than the typical fundraisers.
And Avon online fundraisers are an easy way for the nonprofit organization to send an email out to their email list asking for support.
Avon has products that people use every day, and they can support their charity simply by shopping for your everyday beauty & personal care products.
The advantage of working with the organization is that you have the power of their email list and their contacts.
Or You can Host a Give Back Fundraiser Yourself
This is where you pick an organization to support yourself.
It might be an organization or cause that you’re passionate about.
Set up a Fundraiser for that organization and promote the heck out of it.
It’s an easier sell asking for people to support this cause, rather than just “buy my products.”
You don’t need permission to do something like this. It’s just something you’re doing.
And I promise, the organization is not going to refuse you when you make an appointment to deliver a check to them. 🙂
Factors You Need to Consider When Offering a Fundraiser
Do not consider Fundraising as a way to help you earn more money now.
You will be giving a large part of your earnings to the organization that you are supporting.
The advantage to you is you will pick up new customers and recruits, and it will help you increase your total sales to help you promote to the next sales level.
As the fundraiser is progressing, you will pick up new customers which you will add into your follow-up system.
Be sure to add every new customer to your system as they place their orders, so they will start to receive new brochures and follow-ups from you.
You never know, they could be your next biggest customer!
Be Careful About how Much Money you will offer the Organization.
Your earnings are the same from Avon whether you are doing a fundraiser or not, so it’s very important to take that into consideration.
You will also have to pay for shipping on any orders over $60.
You can build those shipping costs into the percentage, or you can handle them separately.
Keep in mind that there is no right or wrong way to handle this. It is totally up to you and the organization.
Because it’s an online fundraiser, and the organization is not going to have to collect money and deliver products, they’ll be more likely to be happy with a smaller percentage.
Let’s look at a couple of scenarios depending on your earnings level.
I am going to base these on a $60 order and beauty products only, so we can see the effects at each level.
Contender Sales Level
You are earning 25% on Beauty/Jewelry and 20% on Fashion/Home
I suggest you offer 15% Beauty/10% Fashion for the fundraiser, letting the organization know you will need to deduct shipping expenses from the total earnings.
For example…
Say the organization has a $600 Fundraiser.
Your earnings would be about $150.
If you gave the organization 15%, you would owe them $90.
Say 3 of the orders were over $60, and so you had to pay 3-$8 shipping charges for a total of $24.
$90 minus $24 for shipping would mean that you would pay $66 to the organization.
Be very careful that you don’t offer the organization more than you will make. The idea here is not to lose money.
President’s Club/Honor Society Sales Level
You are earning 40% on Beauty/Jewelry and 25% on Fashion/Home
If you offered 25% Beauty/10% Fashion for the fundraiser, this is what it would look like.
On a $60 order, your earnings would be $24.
You would give 25% of $60, which would be $15.
If you covered the shipping of $8, you would be left with $1.00.
That is an option. And not every fundraiser order will qualify for free shipping.
If you did this…
Say the organization has a $600 Fundraiser.
Your earnings would be about $240.
If you gave the organization 25%, you would owe them $150.
Out of the $90 that is left, you would need to cover shipping charges.
In this case, you might make a little money, but not much.
Or, again, you could let the organization know you will need to deduct shipping expenses from the total earnings.
In that case, your earnings would be about $90.
And how much you offer the organization is totally up to you. You could offer the 25% or 20% or 15%… whatever you choose.
Be very careful that you don’t offer the organization more than you will make. The idea here is not to lose money.
Rose Circle or Above Sales Level
You are earning 45% on Beauty/Jewelry and 25% on Fashion/Home
If you offered 25% Beauty/10% Fashion for the fundraiser, this is what it would look like.
On a $60 order, your earnings would be $27.
You would give 25% of $60, which would be $15.
If you covered the shipping of $8, you would be left with $4.
That is an option. And not every fundraiser order will qualify for free shipping.
If you did this…
Say the organization has a $600 Fundraiser.
Your earnings would be about $270.
If you gave the organization 25%, you would owe them $150.
Out of the $120 that is left, you would need to cover shipping charges.
In this case, you might make a little money, but not much.
Or, again, you could let the organization know you will need to deduct shipping expenses from the total earnings.
In that case, your earnings would be about $120.
And how much you offer the organization is totally up to you. You could offer the 25% or 20% or 15%… whatever you choose.
Be very careful that you don’t offer the organization more than you will make. The idea here is not to lose money.
Online Events
The ideas here are limited only to your imagination.
Host an online Bingo Party via Zoom.
It doesn’t get any easier than Bingo.
You can use a website like My Free Bingo Cards to play a traditional game with a virtual caller.
Or you can create your own custom Bingo Cards that revolve around your Avon products. My friend Lynn Bardowski has a great tutorial on how to make them.
In this case, the guests would need to create their bingo card and text or message a picture of it to you before the game starts.
Don’t forget to have lots of small fun prizes.
Host a Facebook Live
This can be done every week or every campaign to share and talk about the new items.
Host a Facebook Party
You can hold a Facebook Party every campaign or as often as you want.
Or you can attend and invite your guests to our Daily 8 Team Facebook Parties. Watch for the next on in our OnlineBeautyBiz Facebook Group.
Or, use your Imagination.
Here’s an article from Good Housekeeping with 10 Fun Games to Play on Zoom That Will Amp Up Your Next Virtual Party.
With a little imagination, some of these could be adapted to help provide fun and entertainment for your customers and prospects, and as a fun way to grow your business.
