What Do I Blog About?
As your write your blog posts, you want to write to your prospect. What are they thinking about when they’re researching the Avon opportunity or when they’re looking at buying products?
Remember you want to talk about benefits, not features. They can be similar, but there is a distinct difference.
Features are details about the product or service. A feature might be the size of the bottle, or that it has SPF20 in it.
Benefits are the “What’s in it for me?” for the prospect or customer. So while SPF20 might be a feature, the benefit is you can stay out for hours and not get sunburned.
A feature of a skincare product might be the ingredients or the fact that it’s won awards, but the benefit is reduces wrinkles so you’ll look better.
Posting Schedule
Most of my success has come from writing blog posts, and then sharing them around social media. It’s important that you be consistent, and then increase your frequency when you are able.
Posting frequently is what will keep your content fresh and bring more eyes to your website.
I have multiple blogs, so I might post 3 times per week to each one, but overall I’m posting 1-2 times every day. The different blogs attract different people.
You’re going to start with one blog, and that is most likely all you will ever need.
So look at your calendar and decide what you can commit to. Will that be once a week, three times a week, or daily? Make the commitment and then stick to it.
As you write your posts, create a wide variety of topics and mix them up. So each week, blog about Products, Brochures, Selling Avon, etc.
What to Blog About for Product Sales
Here are some ideas for blog posts that will attract customers:
Campaign Post – show all of the books for the current campaign. Give the campaign dates, and maybe a quick description of the featured items that campaign.
Campaign Sales by Category – makeup, skin care, fragrance, bath & body, jewelry, fashion, etc.
Featured Items – write a post/review of a specific product. Pick different products and write about them. Details of the product, what’s great about it… you can even include some of the Reviews people have left from your Avon website.
Hint: When you log into AvonNow.com, click on Campaign Insider for ideas about what to say for new products. You can also find information in Avon U and on Avon’s Facebook Page.
Featured Brands – Avon x The Face Shop, Anew, Skin So Soft, FootWorks, Moisture Therapy, etc.
Magazine Features – products featured in magazines, product info, how to buy, etc.
What to Blog About for Recruiting Team Members
How much can you make selling Avon?
How do you sign up to sell Avon?
How much does it cost to sell Avon?
What comes in the Avon Starter Kits?
What are the pros and cons of selling Avon?
There are all kinds of things to blog about. Get creative. Don’t overpromise anything. Use your blog to provide real information and to help your readers make an intelligent decision.

EXPECT Success!
By Lynn Huber
Great tips!!! Do you find that blogging is best done through email or as a post on social media? My goals for 2020 are starting to come together, I’m wondering if this would be a way to bring even more people to my business. How do you get your blog out to others?
Thanks
Hi Deb, Blogging is done on a Blog – a website that you have created and where you post stories and posts. Then you share your blog post by email and on social media. If you’d like to learn more about blogging, you can find more info at https://onlinebeautybiz.com/online-marketing/ ?
