Why Your New Year’s Resolutions Won’t Work

Why Your New Year’s Resolutions Won’t Work

Why Your New Year’s Resolutions Won’t Work

We’re going into a brand new year.  We’ve make our New Year’s Resolutions, but many of us are facing a dilemma we can’t seem to get past…

It’s nothing new really.

It might feel different this year, but it’s the same thing that happens every New Year.

We like to call it… Spinning Wheel Syndrome.

You know the image of a hamster, stuck on a wheel, going round and round without any way to get off…

Well, it’s been happening a lot this year to a lot of people.

In some ways, that’s life.

But in many ways, it doesn’t have to be.

We do this Every Year!

How many times have you made a long list of New Year’s Resolutions only to find that come February, you’d already given up all but one or two?

And then again in May, if not earlier, your Resolutions have been completely vaporized – forgotten and unresolved.

And at that point, you give up.

You figure, “I’ll just wait until next year to start over again.”

Or maybe, like so many Spinning Wheel Syndrome sufferers – you get back on the wheel, start going steady, and then fall off two weeks later.

And that same cycle continues over and over until you feel dizzy and exhausted…

That never-ending cycle can leave you feeling stuck and hopeless like you’re going nowhere.

Like you’ll never get off the wheel. Like you’re doomed to be in a New Year’s Loop for the rest of your life.

But it’s not true.

The problem isn’t that you’re doomed to repeat the same start and stop resolutions for the rest of your life.

The problem isn’t even that you lack resolve.

The problem is that you’re thinking about your New Year’s Resolutions all wrong.

What do we think of first when we start to make that long list of goals and dreams that we have for the next year of our life?

LIST ALL OF THE THINGS!!!

It’s sort of like when a kid makes a Christmas list to Santa…

Dear Santa, this year for Christmas I want a doll, a bike, an iPad, a unicorn, a horse, a Corvette…

The list of demands and wishes gets longer and longer, and the comprehension of just how hard it is for Santa to find a unicorn becomes uneasy to grasp.

It’s time to Try Something New

Instead of making your resolutions like a wish-list, you’ve got to try making your resolutions like a Keep, Stop, Start list.

It doesn’t have the same ring to it, but it’s guaranteed to keep you accountable and realistic about all you can achieve in the coming year.

Here’s how it works:

First, ask yourself this simple question – Does this support the life that I’m trying to create?

Then you take the time to reflect on the year you’ve had.

Were there any resolutions you kept? Why?

And then you get started on your list…

1 – What things in 2020 have supported the life you’re trying to create?

Maybe it’s a new hobby you picked up during quarantine…

Perhaps it’s something related to your Avon business…

Possibly it’s family time that helped you feel grounded and aligned…

These are the things you’re going to KEEP for 2021.

2 – What things in 2020 haven’t supported the life you’re trying to create?

Maybe it’s your health, stress levels, or work environment.

Whatever those things are, they’re the things that you’re going to STOP doing in 2021.

And finally,

3 – What things will you start doing in 2021 to support the life that you’re trying to create?

These are things you don’t have on your KEEP or STOP lists, and they’re most likely the things you will accomplish for the year.

But remember! You want them to be practical, achievable, and supportive of your overall life goals and values.

These are all of the things you’re going to START.

KEEP, STOP, START.

It’s that simple.

It’s a better way to make sure the vision for your New Year is something you’ll want to continue striving for and eventually accomplish. Even if challenges arise on your way.

…And especially if you’ve found yourself falling victim to Spinning Wheel Syndrome.

Get off the wheel!

All it takes is a KEEP, STOP, START list.

You can do this.

Maybe it’s Time to Try Our Daily 8 System

The real secret to your Avon Business success is that there is NO SECRET!

It’s about focusing on the correct income producing activities that will grow your business and being consistent in pursuing those activities.

It simply takes a simple plan and the dedication and commitment to WORK THE PLAN consistently! That’s it!

Our Daily 8 System will help you keep your New Year’s Resolutions… at least the ones that apply to your business. 🙂

Growing your Avon business is pretty simple.

There are only 4 main steps:

  1. Prospecting for new customers & recruits.
  2. Getting a brochure (either paper or digital) to every customer every campaign.
  3. Following-up with every customer you gave a brochure to every campaign before you place your order.
  4. Take the order, submit it to Avon and deliver to your customer, or send them to your Avon Online Store to place their order

And then Rinse and Repeat.

It’s really that simple. You just do these 4 steps over and over again, and you will have a strong Avon business.

We have our Daily 8 System to help you work on the activities that will help you grow your business.

The Daily 8 system is a proven formula

When followed consistently, the Daily 8 Plan will help you maintain the consistency required to build a thriving team and an exponentially expanding residual income.

Instead of working 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week your goal is to capture 8 POINTS a day, 5 days a week for a total of 40 POINTS per week.

Print this sheet and use it to track your weekly points.

Follow this plan consistently for 90-days and teach your team to do the same. At the end of 90 days, REPEAT and then REPEAT again. This is your Daily Method of operation.
