Work Now, Play Later And Build a Thriving Avon Business!
Being your own boss is awesome. And when you choose to work now, play later, you can have everything you want out of your business.
Did you start your business so you could make money while balancing life? Maybe you wanted to be home with your kids and needed something that can be built around their schedule?
Avon can provide all this and more, provided you’re willing to put in the work required to build your business.
Growing your Avon business is pretty simple.
There are only 4 main steps:
- Prospecting for new customers & recruits.
- Getting a brochure (either paper or digital) to every customer every campaign.
- Following-up with every customer you gave a brochure to every campaign before you place your order.
- Take the order, submit it to Avon and deliver to your customer, or send them to your Avon Online Store to place their order
And then Rinse and Repeat.
It’s really that simple. You just do these 4 steps over and over again, and you will have a strong Avon business.
We have our Daily 8 System to help you work on the activities that will help you grow your business.
The Daily 8 system is a proven formula
When followed consistently, the Daily 8 Plan will help you maintain the consistency required to build a thriving team and an exponentially expanding residual income.
Instead of working 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week your goal is to capture 8 POINTS a day, 5 days a week for a total of 40 POINTS per week.
Print this sheet and use it to track your weekly points.
Follow this plan consistently for 90-days and teach your team to do the same. At the end of 90 days, REPEAT and then REPEAT again. This is your Daily Method of operation.
The real secret to your Avon Business success is that there is NO SECRET!
It simply takes a simple plan and the dedication and commitment to WORK THE PLAN consistently! That’s it!

Today We’ll Talk About Work Now, Play Later
Being your own boss is awesome.
Getting to control your schedule and work around your family’s activities is also a great benefit.
Earning free products, prizes and recognition, and the confidence that gives you is definitely rewarding. And Avon has no shortage of these!
Getting to use your personality and your own creative talents to build something that matters is incredible.
The friendships you gain and the relationships you form are life-changing.
The Benefits Of Your Avon Business are Endless!
The biggest appeal of your Avon business is the ability to leverage your time.
It allows us to make money and build a thriving business around our true priorities, the things that are most important to us.
Avon can be everything you want. It can provide the life you dream of.
Richard and I have been debt-free and haven’t worked in a job since 2008. We live the life we choose. We travel when we choose. We wakeup when we choose.
What is your dream life?
Maybe you want to travel. Maybe you’d be perfectly happy if you can earn enough so that you can be home with your children instead of having to work.
Some Representatives have paid off their mortgages; others have sent their children to school.
Others have left their full time jobs to lead a team of Avon Representatives.
And many have paid for that family vacation every year.
And the impacts are beyond financial – so many of our Representatives have experienced personal development.
Many have learned entrepreneurial skills to be success business owners, and many have overcome significant insecurities to gain the confidence needed to run a business.
Have the discipline to invest in learning right from the beginning to set the stage for an extremely profitable business.
Remember this motto, “Pay the price up front so you can play in the end!”
On the flip-side, there are also lots of Avon Representatives who want to “play early and pay later.”
They are still waiting to make money.
Which will you choose?
Planning A Successful Routine
If you are in business, you have a work schedule.
One of the things we love Avon is the freedom it allows.
To enjoy that freedom, we must do what it takes to become the best.
Instead of letting each day happen to us, we begin with a plan:
- Get out your calendar.
Determine how much time you will give to work your business.
Block out that time in your calendar.
Quit procrastinating. Choose when you will work your business!
- Write down 100+ names of people you want to contact.
Don’t worry about the No’s. The more you contact, the better you become.
Get calling, or texting, or messaging.
Start a conversation with them. Ask them if they’d like to see a current Avon Brochure.
If they say yes, be sure to add them to your follow-up system.
If they say no, no worries… They’re just not interested. Nothing changes. You’re still friends.
- Make it a point to always be prospecting for new potential customers and recruits in your business.
Growing your business is always in the new. You always need new people to talk to.
Make it a point to get contact information from 3 new people each day.
The more you do, the better you get.
The more people you invite to take a look at a brochure or your business opportunity, the faster your business will grow.
Pay the Price Up Front!
It is important to develop your routine.
Schedule your business around your family. You can still be the best wife, a great mom, and yet run a successful business.
Add the important things to your calendar first. These include commitments you’ve already made to your children, spouse, team, church, civic organization, school and so on.
In the time you have left, schedule in your highest income-producing business-building activities.
The more you schedule into your week, the greater results you will have.
Work your Daily 8 System. Work to earn 8 points per day, 5 days a week, for a total of 40 points a week.
Make sure that each activity you do creates a result that propels forward momentum in the growth of your business.
Be sure to do something every day to move your business forward.
Allot as little time as possible to paperwork and planning, personal development and training. These are still very important to your business. But do them in the off-hours – maybe earlier in the morning, or later in the evening when you can’t be actively working with prospects, customers and team members.
The more time you spend “doing,” the faster your business will grow.
Take a look at your calendar. What days of the week work best for you?
These days it’s easier to work around your children, because phone time isn’t as important.
Most business these days is done more by text or messaging.
But even so, it is hard to get things done when your children are being needy and pulling at you.
Consider finding age-appropriate toys that are special “mommy’s working” toys.
When Mommy or Grandma has to be focused on follow-ups or texting or even phone calls, it is a treat to play with the toys.
Reward your little ones for honoring your time.
Keep your commitments to your children too.
If you’ve asked them for 30 minutes of time so you can focus on your business, stick to 30 minutes.
Acknowledge them for helping you do your business!
On many occasions you’ll have unexpected time. A nap or a play date might create a window of opportunity to make a few calls.
Have that list of 100+ contacts ready and available.
Offer your Avon Brochure or talk about the Avon business opportunity.
If they want a brochure or want to learn more about Avon, be sure to add them to your follow-up system.
We have two systems that we teach.
- Follow-Up System for customers/potential customers – Click here for details about how to use this system.
- Follow-Up System for potential new recruits/team members – Click here for details about how to use this system.
These systems take care of the tasks that can be automated so that you can be free to continue to build your business.
Those same systems will ultimately give you the thriving business that will allow you to play more and enjoy your life.
Make the Commitment to Persevering and Working Toward Your Personal Best.
As long as you keep working, you will get better and better at growing your business.
If you take the time to set up your systems, those systems will help you have a thriving business that ultimately will give you the time to live your life on your terms.
Leaders complete with themselves.
They invest in learning. They pay the price up front so they can play in the end.
And when you do that, there is so much you can gain.
Being your own boss is awesome.
Getting to control your schedule and work around your family’s activities is also wonderful.
Earning free products, prizes and recognition, and the confidence that gives you is definitely rewarding.
How about Hawaii? Will you be joining us in Hawaii next year?!
The trips are amazing! Seriously! They are top tier, and you will feel like royalty. But, in my mind, the best part of the trips is the friendships you will make and the relationships you form while on them. These are truly life-changing.
Stick With It
Make a commitment to not quit.
Despite what the naysayers will tell you, the failure rate in Avon isn’t any more than any other home business opportunity.
Just as many people give up selling real estate, or cars, or building any other business.
One of the best things about Avon, in my mind, is we have 26 new Brochures a year. That gives us 26 times that we can go back to our customers with something new. You don’t see that with most other companies.
What differentiates success from failure in any home business is a commitment to never quit.
That means learning to overcome rejection, avoiding mistakes, and staying the course towards success.
Make the most out of those 26 campaigns Avon gives you. Build your business and never stop!
And it means work now, play later.
What are you waiting for? Let’s get started now!
Within the next 48 hours, commit to the following:
-
- Review and mark your calendar. Set a work schedule. If you have young children, pick out a special age-appropriate toy for each child to occupy them while you are on the phone.
- Make or update your list of 100+ contacts. Keep it handy at all times.
- Figure out your follow-up system. Have it ready to start plugging all those contacts into once they’ve told you they are interested. It’s easy to start using a system when your business small, and it can grow with you as your business grows.
You got this! I believe in you!
