Sometimes it may seem like a lot of work, but building trust is the most important thing you can when working with new people to bring them into your business. Sometimes it may take many phone calls, and leaving many messages on their voice mail before they begin to trust you. Just continue with your follow-up and don’t give up.
It can be easy to talk yourself out of it if you’ve left 3-4 messages for a person but they haven’t returned your call. But keep in mind that everyone is very busy these days and just because they don’t return your calls, it doesn’t mean they’re not interested. Many times I have had someone actually thank me for not giving up on them.
You definitely don’t want to harass someone, but stay in touch with them and work to build the relationship, and the trust will come. Sometimes it just takes time.
