You Are in Competition With Netflix
Well now, that’s a sobering thought, isn’t it?
But it’s not just Netflix. You are also in competition with YouTube, Amazon, Facebook, video games, and everything else that is out that capturing your prospect’s attention.
Scary, right?
But before you give up and curl yourself into a self-defeated ball, consider this:
You have a message that no one else on the planet can deliver.
Everything you have to offer comes from your own unique perspective on the world and on your Avon business and your Avon products. No one else has your exact experience or viewpoint.
No one looks at things exactly like you do.
And no one on the planet can articulate your message like you can.
People want your Avon products. They need your Avon products! But they’re so busy with Netflix and all the other distractions that get in their way throughout the day.
That’s why they have you as their Avon Representative.
So what’s your job?
- Well, first off, make sure they get a catalog EVERY Campaign!
- Then follow-up with them EVERY Campaign!
- Then take their order, making sure you’re doing a great job of helping them get the products they need currently.
- Delivering their order in a timely fashion
And then do it all over again – wash, rinse, repeat!
So maybe you’ve dropped off a catalog to their house. And now you don’t want to bother them.
I mean… if they really wanted something they’d call you, right?
Nope! Wrong.
Sorry, but it just doesn’t work out that way.
We’re all busy. Your customer is probably working, and juggling her kids along with all the activities their kids are involved in. Maybe they’re watching a movie, or playing games on their phone, or they fall into that Facebook hole.
There are always so many things going on around us – all of us. In today’s world, we’re always on overload!
So when you don’t call your customer to follow-up to see if there’s anything you can get for them, you’re actually doing them a disservice.
You don’t want to be that person who let their customer down, do you?
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve called a customer only to be told, “OMG! I DO have an order. I marked up the brochure. Let me grab it!”
And then they come back to the phone and give me an order.
And guess what. Many times they’ll thank me for calling them – they really needed that face cream. They’ve been digging out the cream from under the lip of the jar because they’re so close to being out.
If they don’t want anything right now or don’t want to place an order, that’s totally okay! You did your job by following up. And you’ll continue to offer great service by making sure they get the next brochure and follow up.
Don’t be average. Be an Exceptional Avon Representative who is incredibly valuable to your customers.
Exceptional Avon Reps are:
Focused – you’ve developed a routine so you and your customers know what to expect. They know that when they place an order with you, they will receive it when promised.
Conversational – you’re there to offer your service, find out their needs, and determine how you can help them – never to be pushy.
Task Oriented – You’re always looking for better ways to service your customers. These can include offering them additional products that can help solve problems or meet their needs. You always strive to do what’s best for your customer.
Dependable – You are there when you say you are going to be there. If a product is out of stock or backordered, you call your customer right away and let them know, while being ready to offer alternatives or solutions to take care of them. You deliver when promised, and you never miss getting them an Avon brochure or follow-up call/text.
And while you’re at it, don’t forget to talk to them about Avon, why you love being an Avon Representative, and why they might want to join you. This might be exactly what they need right now!
As you continue to work on becoming an Exceptional Avon Representative, your business will continue to grow. A year from now you will look back and you won’t believe how far you have come.
